I totally agree.  I tried a couple times with SHC but I just can't get into that record as much.  Its much less organic and more produced, even for this band, and I just generally don't go for that. 

I'm back on these guys again, can't get enough-

Raines voice sounds diff on this track.  Its an ok track, still don't think they have been as good since they scrapped there original guitarist.

I agree. They lost me for a few years after that. They've had only had maybe 7 or 8 tunes I've enjoyed since Mike left (or was forced out of) the band. This one is alright, but I'm hoping for something better with the Pt 1. EP on Friday.

From what I understand, soon into the recording of Gravity with Bob Rock, Mike and Rock disagreed on how the album should sound. The rest of the band wanted to go with Bob Rock's suggestions, so Mike decided to step away from the band. Gravity was the first OLP album I was disappointed with, I felt the sound was lost.

I'm disappointed with the rest of today's EP release. It is probably their weakest material yet, aside from the single.

So oddly enough, Coldplay is another band I'm just starting to get into. I've always loved A Rush Of Blood To The Head but aside from that I've always given in to the hype that they pretty much suck now, which doesn't seem to be the case. I was supposed to see them live for the first time Friday in Houston, but Hurricane Harvey had other plans.

I didn't know there was new Royal Blood out. Their first album is fucking terrific. I will check this out.

When he goes into the verse on that performance... wow. I cannot find the right word, but he just sounds so damn great in that particular tone. I wish there was a recording of him doing that tune. I always thought he would do a helluva job on several stones covers...
