The new Filter record is laughable. I've spun it four or five times now and I have not made it through the entire thing once. Being angry for the sake of being angry doesn't make any of these new songs good. People have been clamoring for Filter to get back to the Short Bus sound and Richard obliged. It's just not good.
It's a heavy record, or more heavy than the last couple but the quality of the songs lack significantly.
