Scott Weiland - ‘12 Bar Blues’

I’ve got to admit, when it was first released it totally caught me off guard as it was such a departure from his work with STP and I also think I was a little young to fully appreciate it, but over the years I’ve grown to love it. I appreciate all the work he left us and I’m glad he was able to experiment and spread his wings on his solo albums and various side projects.

Listening to Coverdale Page CD.  Just bought the CD again.  I used to have CD back in the 90s.  Got it again.  Great stuff.  Singer from White Snake David Coverdale with Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin.

Been on a kick of listening to bands I used to like from 90s.  Been buying up old CDs to get back CDS I used to have or should have had. Ordered Helmet Betty, Helmet Meantime, Quicksand, and Kyus recently.  Also just got Weezer Pinkerton again.

Exactly how I reacted. I didn't care for it when it came out (same with Talk Show), and I blame that on youth. I was 17, and I wanted to hear another STP record. I didn't really get into the album until my early to mid twenties. Absolutely brilliant record.

Queens of the Stone Age - The Vampyre of Time and Memory
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Greta Van Fleet - Safari Song

I'm disappointed in myself for enjoying it, because...

"How can we be successful as a band?"

"Hmm...how about this, Let's just BE Led Zeppelin."
Ha, yeah. Seems to be the general consensus by a lot of folks. My mom is a big fan, though. Maybe they'll evolve within their next couple albums.

Just was spinning the From the Fires  album, its basically the lost Zeppelin tapes.  Influence is one thing but they sound way to close to the Led Zeppelins

I think it's some of their best work.

Been listening to Scott’s ‘Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ today. Bless him, he really seemed to love Christmas time.

Just was spinning the From the Fires  album, its basically the lost Zeppelin tapes.  Influence is one thing but they sound way to close to the Led Zeppelins

I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan. Though they are 100% fans of the band, Greta Van Fleet at least has some originality to them unlike most of the current auto-tuned bands that all sound the same. Zeppelin fans have to remember that they ripped off the blues musicians before them while also creating their own sound. I think that Greta Van Fleet are kicking ass!!

I'm not sure if I should like them or feel embarrassed for them.

I’ve seen them live 3 times in last few months—-these kids are good.
