Falling in love with Shangri, did not like it at first(and when it came out i did not even know of its existence, completely ignored on dutch radio)but the second time it kicked in(that was a week ago)....5th time in a row today...seems like everything STP or Scott made is addicting to me.

Megadeth's new album. Awesome. Are there any fans of Megadeth? What do you think about Dystopia?

I am a fan of Megadeth, but I really haven't loved anything they've released in I don't know how long.

I keep up with them, but nothing has really stuck with me.

I have seen good reviews for this album.
So, you didn't listen it yet, correct?
Endgame and 13 were good I think. Dystopia sounds like these two albums + something from Rust in Peace. Great rehabilitation after Super Collider (which was good too, but not for Megadeth).

I'll definitely give it a listen.

Listening to every STP album in order, currently just finishing No.4... Enjoying the ride :)
I'm actually looking forward to getting to S/T as even though it's my least favourite of the 6 I haven't listened to it all the way through for a long long time... Perhaps I can appreciate it more now.

So, what'd you think of S/T this time around?

I haven't got to it yet, been so busy, it's next in line though as I just finished listening to my favourite STP album SLDD yesterday! Still sounds as fresh to me as it did in 2001, the production on it really is superb.

At this very moment I am listening to:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - 'Circle of the Noose'

I was a huge RHCP fan in the early and mid 90's and I loved the 'One Hot Minute' album and that whole era of the band with Dave Navarro on guitar. I remember reading about this song in Kerrang sometime in 1998, it's the last dong they recorded with Navarro and it's finally leaked! I love it and I may be in the minority but I'd have preferred to see them take that route than 'Californication', I know everyone seemed to love that album but it didn't really do it for me as much as the three before it and then things just kept getting poppier with 'By The Way' etc and I ended up just losing interest with them :(

It may be because of the fact that i have immersed myself in goth, industrial, post-punk and neo-classical stuff the last ten years, now back in to rock 'n roll since Scott's passing but "I can't get 'Libertad' out of my head", just like all the other Scott related musical treasures that I have been catching up on recently. I feel like a clean slate and I love it all!

Never was a fan of GNR at all, i hate Axl's voice, (saw 'em live though in 1992, went with a bunch hard-rockin GNR-friends, I was more interested in the other bands on the line-up, the Cult, Blind Melon and Soul asylum.) So I am glad that Slash and such, temporarily, found a much better singer, hehe.
