I have yet to hear anything about the Austin Backyard show this Saturday.  Hoping that is still on.  If that one gets cancelled it will be the third cancelled STP show I've had tickets to since the reunion.

Our local radio station here in Amarillo finally addressed the cancellation officially in the morning talk show today.

"And as you may have heard, the STP show we've been so psyched about is off the calendar. There was no reason given for the sudden cancellation *COUGH* re *COUGH* hab *COUGH*.  In all seriousness, the band hasn't said anything about the cancellation yet, but if you are into the band and know Scott well, it doesn't take much to connect the dots here."

Not good, and to think just a few weeks ago they were kicking ass playing two awesome shows at the Borgata and PNC!

Hope Scott is alright and that everything works out, man's got to do what a man's got to do.

Hope it is just rehab and nothing more.  They have been rescheduling a few shows lately...SD and then TX shows after playing one out there...kinda weird.   Drinking is lame anyways.   Time for Scotty to switch to pot!

I've read that Scotty doesn't like pot because he thinks too much while on it.  So he needs a heavier drug.

Speaking as someone who has had a pretty sordid past / substance abuse & addicton myself. Tying something like scientific research that proves it keeps you from going back to harder drugs is about the biggest load of horse shit I've ever heard. Not to say that you are stupid for stating so because you know, obviously you've heard this somewhere but that made me laugh out loud and I'd like to drill who ever "uncovered" this as proven scientific fact. Addiction is different for everybody and i don't see how science can prove that so broadly. I know for me it would do the exact opposite so...

but anyways totally off topic, I just had to get that off my chest,  and i have nothing really to say that hasn't been said about the topic itself except that I hope everything works out positively no matter what the cause of the cancelled / postponed dates.

Radio just upgraded "Canceled" to "Postponed" for what its worth. Still telling us to go get refunds however, just guess it gives a tiny shade of hope they might come back again.

Another update: Both Austin and Corpus Christi have been rescheduled after being "Postponed". This gives me a tad more hope that Lubbock may be as well
