I HAVE more bootlegs than I can count :-P ... but thank you for the explanation anyway... i just hadn't expected a major label to release "actual" "bootlegged" material.  Very cool actually.

Well look at it this way.... they found a way to make money off of the bootleg material that they wouldn't have made any money on.

This is true, IMJ.  It's on my list of things to get.  I'm glad I read this topic because as much as I like STP, I always put off buying this because of how many disappointing DVD's have come in "CD + DVD" sets...  I'm glad this one gets it right.  The only other one that was as good as this sounds was "Greatest Hits + Videos" by the Chili Peppers.

DVD is worth it. The day I proposed to my wife, I made her sit and watch EVERY music video with me to make sure she understands how good these guys are. She was impressed, so I let her marry me. lol

She should have made you listen to her stuff.  I'd like to know how that would have went.

I have every STP album, except Thank You, but I'm thinking of getting it for the dvd, is it worth it?

The videos are on youtube, but the DVD (I wish it was HD) quality is bomb.  Glad you enjoy it.

Buy it!

I have a HUGE collection of bootlegs, live shows, DVDs of concerts, and eve TV appearances... and 'Thank You' is still great to have.  Its just a shame that they never put out a proper DVD, or anything.  But Thank You's DVD is definitly worth it.

it has various bootlegs that the band picked out. The live performances that stick out in my mind are parts of rolling rock, LA HOB, I'll have to watch it again and let you know.
