Songs are emotions in sonic form and I had a lot of emotions at the time. And each of those emotions inspires its own sound."- Scott Weiland on recording "12 Bar Blues" album

In Mary Forsberg's book and she says during her "Pretty in Pink" birthday themed party, Scott got on stage and sang a cover of "I Melt With You" by Modern English.  It would be interesting to see how he sings new wave music.

Best post in this thread! This would be a great cover!

I would like the see STP do:

Led Zep - "Down By the Seaside
Stones - "Sway" or "Bitch"
The Animals - "House of the Rising Sun"
The Kinks - "Celluloid Heroes"
Soundgarden - "Outshined"
Tom Petty - "Rebels"
(originally by Howlin' Wolf written by Willie Dixon to be correct) The Doors cover version - "Back Door Man"
David Bowie "Rebel Rebel"
Deep Purple - "Smoke on the Water"
Eric Clapton - "Forever Man"

“The news reports said I’d torched $10,000 worth of Scott’s clothes, which was wrong by a factor of eight. He was somewhat insulted at their estimate: ‘Eighty thousand dollars, Mary,’ he said later.”

Anything by the Carpenters. I saw them at the Family Values tour years ago and Scott was singing a Carpenters song for like 15 seconds without the other band members partaking in it. I think it was a Carpenters song anyway.

I wanna hear "Hallelujah" (Leonard Cohen) by Scott.

The Crystal Ship - The Doors

Hey, txgirl any chance this pic is from that party? http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm100/Agos_27/050511_LosAngelesCA_SportsmensLo-1.jpg

I remember seeing a picture from her birthday party with just them posing together. The one you posted, Mary looks adorable...poor Scott on the other hand, that was not a photogenic day for him. Considering how typically he looks really good, I guess it's nothing to bitch about. :P

I got another one : You look like rain - Morphine

Robert could PIMP out that bassline, dean could replace the sax with the guitar, or maybe add something new :D! and eric would just grooove into the jazz melody.
Oh, not even mention that scott voice would probably produce orgasms since the song singing is kinda of .."whispering".

James - She's a Star
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB5EevdTQrQ

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Robert would have a mental time on the bass

Ram Jam - Black Betty

David Bowie - Space Oddity

Donovan - Mellow Yellow
(we seen Scott do this with his solo band at this webisode thing)

And now for my slightly deranged suggestion

The firm - Star Trekkin'
