Oh and Sweet - Ballroom Blitz
I'm liking the idea of Dean in a glam rock dracula coat!

"I Can't Tell You Why" -- The Eagles.

Can't tell you why I would want STP to do this song, other than I think it would be an intimate moment
that could be monumental at a live show.  Imagine Dean doing the guitar solo.  Nuff said.

I wanna hear "Hallelujah" (Leonard Cohen) by Scott.

The Crystal Ship - The Doors

Hey, txgirl any chance this pic is from that party? http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm100/Agos_27/050511_LosAngelesCA_SportsmensLo-1.jpg

Yes, it is!!!  Where did you find that picture?  Yeah, not a good hair day for Scott, even if it was the '80's.

i wanna hear a rendition of under pressure (david bowie & queen)

I thought the exact same thing when I saw this thread.  Really, after all these years I'm surprised STP has never covered any Queen.

Some early R.E.M. would be neat.  So. Central Rain for example.

I guess (I'm not sure anymore) I took it from Rik's VR site.

Three different songs for three different reasons:

1. Pearl Jam - Alive. Mainly to watch their detractors' heads explode, and also so that once and for all people could hear them play a song by the band they've been accused of imitating and then say "shit, it's true they sound nothing alike."

2. Aerosmith - Dream On. They could really do a kick-ass version of this song. I can already imagine it in my head.

3. I would love to see STP cover something completely out of left field. Something you wouldn't expect Scott to sing, like a U2 song or something...
Karma schmarma.

ugh, it's more than a bad hair day, he looks like he's dying :P so glad he's not doing the skeletor thing anymore.  rest of the pic looks cute though!

I'd like to hear STP cover Lou Reed.. maybe Vicious, or Perfect Day..
Hmm I feel like they'd probably do a pretty good take on Iggy Pop too.. or the Modern Lovers.

A great song to cover from Lou Reed would be Pale Blue Eyes.

"Black Country Rock" - David Bowie

They would jam the shit out of this song, give it a listen...one of bowie's most rocking tunes!
