I saw this thread the other day and I thought, what really is my favorite song. I immediately thought of the new songs because I've heard them about 50 times a piece in the last two weeks so I decided to listen to their whole catalogue over the weekend and pick a top 5. It took me a good 3 days but here's what I've got.

5- Church on Tuesday
4- Fast as I can (Self Titled)- the "Trippin" of self titled.
3- Glide
2- Army Ants
1- Daisy/Seven Caged Tigers- When I first listened to Tiny Music I was in complete awe of how these two songs concluded the album. I can't listen to one without the other. I personally think this is their best work.

Man this is tough.

Though I think I'll have to go with "Adhesive." I became an STP fan through Velvet Revolver and really fell in love with Tiny Music... last summer. And I just remember driving around at night and when that song came on, it was just so serene. I absolutely LOVE when it picks up and starts chugging along, with Eric moving ahead and behind the beat, not to mention Rob's bass and Dean's psychedelic tone. Just a great composition.

And in response to the above post, I find the ending of "Seven Caged Tigers" to be one of the best album-closers I've ever heard. It's eerie but it works so well. I love how it carries you away into silence.

PURPLE: Silvergun Superman
TINY MUSIC: Trippin'
NO. 4: Down
SHANGRI-LA: Transmissions From A Lonely Room
STP: At this point, I really can't decide. There are some strong contenders...guess it'll just take time for one to emerge as my definite favorite

haha wow we have really similar tastes...i love dumb love and fast as i can is one of the songs that's contending to be my favorite song on the new album

Too many. I like every song on every album so far.... Some more than others, but a clear favorite really doesn't stand out. And my most played songs don't really help either because it all depends on what I'm in the mood to listen to.

YGNR I thought was the only VR song that I thought was up to STP standards.  What an awesome song.
