I was watching a bootleg of Jane's Addiction and thought that Scott and Perry stage performances were abit similiar. HAs Scott ever mention Janes  as an influence?

Love both bands and think both are great frontmen....

Scott has covered the Mountain Song on his solo tour, and in this video he talks about Jane's Addiction, the Mountain Song and Perry Farrel at 2:02

I remember reading that Scott wished he wrote Had A Dad (read it somewhere in the archives).

The song 'Wet my bed' by Stp is lyrically similar to a jane's song, but I  have to find it. Can anyone help me out here. It's similar with the lines about incense and fluffy pillows... I'll keep looking.

you might be thinking of the beginning of "three days" where Perry is reciting the Xiola poem and the rest of the poem lines are heard through out the song:

at this moment
you should be with us
feeling like we do
like you love to
but never will again.
i miss you my dear xiola.
i prepared the room tonight with christmas lights
a city of candles
fresh sheets
we are all full of dense clouds that have a soul.
i've been meaning to touch your skin.
come closer to me.
an alien she was...?
no one made friends as easy as Xiola.
they were drug pushing constructors.
they were always the audience that plagued her.
one night I met a boy.

Just came on here to say I found it...

Yeah, this is the one. Gotta say that Three days is my favorite Jane's song, just wonder if Scott was influenced by this song when writing 'Wet my bed'.

Perry Ferrall = Peripheral - peri pheral

As in Peripheral vision and such.  Great stage name.
Trampled under sole of another man's shoes cause I walked too softly.  But in my defense, he was a Macho Pendejo.

well also Perry comes from his real name Peretz.

One of his son is named Hezron because in the bible Perez was the Father of Hezron. (Matthew 1:3)  8)

This is so weird, I have been watching Jane's Addiction live on youtube a lot and I said to myself "man, Scott definitely copied some of Perry's move's". Specifically that little spin around Scott does, expect Perry sticks his arms out differently when he does it.

Well generally back when they were all young and touring. Perry Farrel and Scott had similar body types. Scott was thin and lanky from about '94 onward, Perry as always been kind of taller and scrawny too if I do recall. If there's any emulation there, it was easy to do, they both got away with it. So if Scott did copy any moves, he knew he and his body could definitely pull it off and have it look the way it was supposed to look. Its all a possibility, you never know.

In Weiland's book, he cites Jane's Addiction as an influence. So yes, he's influenced by Perry Farrell.
Do you like STP? Check out my band! We're heavily STP-influenced. http://dropdeadsixtymusic.bandcamp.com/
