Thanks for the link - for me personally, it's so cool that Dean talks about Mick Taylor who I think is the most underappreciated musician in the history of the Stones.

I grew up listening to my mom's copy of Goats Head Soup - that album is seriously underrated imo.

So "Dare If You Dare" is from the Talk Show era, that's more than 10 years, very interesting!
I wonder why they didn't work on that song earlier

They may have demo'd it years ago-you never know what's in the vaults!

Love the recognition to Brad Whitford he's great indeed. Good interview

It wasn't Scott the reason why the album "got delayed"... I just remember it was a theme of discussion some long time ago  :P

Scott called me and said, ‘we’ve got to finish this fucking record man’. And I was like ‘I agree’ because I felt we were sitting on it for too long.

Dean mentioned some guitar players I'd never heard of (do know Wes Montgomery though) and I'm giving Lloyd Green a listen now.  It's really great stuff. Really nice playing there.  This guy was amazing.

I'm so glad they brought up Army of Anyone...I'd love for them to make another record.

I bet they will at some point.  Especially if Scott falls off the wagon again.  I thought the AOA album was the best album of 2006.

I just love it when Dean gives in-depth interviews.  He really gives a lot of insight.  Scott's interviews are usually very veiled.

I agreed, 2 guitar player who nobody appreciated, I can't think in Aerosmith or stones without them

Great interview. Thanks for posting! And yes, AOA's album will one day be on every 'most underrated and criminally overlooked rock albums of all time'-list. It's a friggin masterpiece. Bring on AOA Part Deux whenever STP takes a break.

Careful.  You're not allowed to like any STP side-projects on these forums without it becoming a multi-page pointless debate.

I think Dean is underappreciated too, everybody talks about Slash or Jimi Page, and, yes they are very good guitar players but Dean is one of best guitar player, his style is unique!!!
