STP new release album released today!

I have never heard about the recording being destroyed in a fire. It was replaced in the movie The Crow with Big Empty because Brendan Lee was killed during the filming of it.

I really doubt we'll ever hear the newer version, but I'm hoping.

Yeah I know about the reason the song was pulled. Horrible all around. A great actor lost and a great song perhaps also lost because of it. But I could've sworn I read that Dean said that they had planned to release it on Thank You but that the master tapes with it on them were destroyed in a studio fire. Thinking about how great the new version with the classic purple sound of the band at that time is very painful.

I went to Target after work and I went to the music section.

I saw about three copies of the regular version and 1 copy of the Deluxe version. I instantly grabbed the 1 copy and purchased it.

It's almost the same thing as the iTunes download which I got last night. Except for the DVD content in the physical disc has more stuff. I'm almost getting the Bonus Tracks version from STP's website in the mail pretty soon and if that includes About A Fool, then the iTunes download was a waste of money...  :-

I think it's going to include songs we haven't heard yet. Let us know once you get it! Maybe upload them for us.

I'm hoping the 2 bonus tracks will be Heed The Water Whisperer and Only Dying.

Yeah, I'm really hoping they're different songs than the ones we've already got in all these different versions. Even if they're not Heed the Water Whisperer or Only Dying, I'd be satisfied with two completely new songs altogether.

Popped in the CD today for my workout this morning. I'm addicted to it. At first I thought the CD was a little top-heavy with BTL, HC and HD but the back end is great too. Maver is a great ballad and Peacoat is somewhat heavy. I'm really diggin' it.

After then did a 30-min cardio workout to this set:

Those 1.5 hours flew by in a heart beat... I'm try to make 30-min sets with STP songs and a few covers usually. Any suggestions?

I got the LAST deluxe version on the shelf at my target And better yet, I saw a HUGE box of the Basic (non-deluxe) CDs sitting mostly empty! These things are selling!

My Target also had Purple, Core, and Thank You on a display as well.

Damn, sorry to see so many Targets didn't have their shit together. I went to a Target this morning and had absolutely no problem. Just walked right in, got the deluxe version, paid and walked out in less than 5 minutes.

Same thing here. Walked right in and grabbed in. One of the workers even directed me to a register with no line. She must of known I had some STP business to take care of.

I hear you. Even though I downloaded the leak and got my pre-order on iTunes, I'm still waiting on my CD/LP from STP.com. I actually got a message yesterday that it had shipped...the same day it was released. WTF. :-/

i pre-ordered it and i just got it today. kinda pisses me off. I havnt been this hyped for an album since muse's Resistance! and tht album came a day BEFORE it was officially released in the US!

Yeah I downloaded the iTunes version last Tuesday after I realized that my preordered hard copy would take a week to be delievered (just received mine yesterday too).  Frigin horseshit; I'm never preordering from their official site again.  The t-shirt/deluxe album combo was a rip off to begin with.  I'm really enjoying the new album, but I wish I would have just picked up my hard copy in the store last week.
