STP new release album released today!

8:02am or so....

Walk into the local Target to get my "Target exclusive" version of "Stone Temple Pilots"...

(gosh, I wonder what the display will look like?)

...and it's not even on the shelf.

Had to chase down a manager and he had to find it back in the stockroom.

Thank you for indulging my anticlimactic moment after nine years of waiting.

I went to walmart at midnight. Asked the employee in electronics if I could get one and he said "we haven't gotten to it yet."  No crap thats why I asked for it.  So I went home and downloaded it from iTunes.  Will still probably by the actual album. I wish they would've put it out and had a party like they did for freakin Twilight. Makes me sick that people like crap like that but then something really awesome comes out and people don't even notice it. Love the album by the way.

does it include a DVD?

YES. Nothing in the liner notes as to what's on it, but the DVD menu choices are:
-Interview
- Vasoline and Between the Lines Live
-Making of BTL video
-Radio Interview

I haven't watched it yet.

Also, Samba Nova is on the first disc, as well as Vasoline, Hickory and Between all live from Chicago (cool, cause I was there!)

my target only had 4 copies out at 8am 2 regular 2 w/ the bonus. but at least i didn't have to hunt anyone down. that blows man.

I'm really not complaining for my own "pain", just wishing better for the band.
Hopefully this new record reunites them with the general public again (not just us diehards) and we can all enjoy several more years.
