IT’S ABOUT TIME ROB! Weiland has been fucking that band up ever since they got back together 2 years ago. It’s been damn disrespectful to both his band and fans. And, it’s been pathetic as all hell to see the band up until now just pretend that there hasn’t been a problem. Each night, it’s a 50/50 chance whether that guy is going to be 2 hours late and forget all the lyrics or not, and the band just keeps mum and pretends it never happens. No other band has to put up with this shit.

Because the concept of egotistical rock star and addiction were unheard of until Weiland?  C'mon now.  

I haven't heard any reports of Scott showing up hours late or forgetting all the lyrics every other show on a nightly or every-other-night basis.  So let's be a little more realistic.  Yeah it's happened, but the great shows clearly outweigh these instances you're speaking of.

And from the way it feels, the band is either still there because they love each other (at the least they're getting along on stage) and think he's good enough to atleast commit to the band.  Or because they just want the paycheck and can put up with a crappy gig now and then.  Either way, it's definitely not because the guys are afraid to address anything.  History has proven otherwise.

In every interview I have seen recently, Eric Rob and Dean just seem to have their lips sealed and answer questions directed only at them. Whether it be on Fuse or Howard Stern, it seems as if they would like to come out and really tell what's going on behind the scenes with this band but just can't.  
And I know Scott is the leader and he answers the questions but it just seems very awkward seeing a "leader" not have his own shit straightened out.  Scott needs to man up and truly be a great father and a respectable role model to his kids.  I would like the band to confront him, but they seem too scared to say anything, and only Weiland, himself, can do anything about his own problems that our affecting others.

That's just it...  you follow this band long enough and you realize that Scott is the front man of the band, but not the leader. Robert D. is totally the go to rallying guy, Dean is the heart of the band.  I'd say more about Eric, but for all I know he's at that stage where he'll drum for STP and if it fell apart again, he'd say "Whateva" and go back to something like Spiralarms or his studio and just do his thing.

It's really been that way for years. The man who gets the most press isn't necessarily the glue that holds the band together, ya know?

This really is a sad story. It's not a shock that things like this are going on...I remember reading an interview where Scott said Mary left him when he really needed her. Not only is he now feeling abandoned, but more stress is added thanks to her.

I've wondered before if he's felt suicidal but hasn't done it solely because of his kids. I don't say it in a cruel way, so don't take it as that.

I just hope things really start to pick-up for him. Maybe if the album does well it'll give him something positive to help lift him up. Hopefully he could also meet someone else that'll help him get through his struggles.

It (the marriage) was basically over at his 40th birthday party...he was doing coke, arrested on a DUI a few weeks later. I suggest reading her book if you want to know WHY she wanted a divorce..
He didn't help the situation at all whether he "needed" her or not.
