Song of the year:  First Kiss on Mars (so rich)
Best rock song of the year: PEACOAT!!!

I agree with you about First Kiss On Mars. I absolutely love that song, even though he just repeats the same verse twice. Such great melodies.

I think the best rocker is Hazy Daze, although I do think Peacoat is an awesome song.

Samba Nova
Dare if You Dare
Hickory Dichotomy
Peacoat
Bagman
Hazy Daze

I think those are easily the best songs on the album....

I also like Huckleberry Crumble , First Kiss, and Take a Load Off

I havent gotten into Between the Lines, Cinnamon, or Maver much.

My fave STP albums are No. 4 and Shangri La

Hazy Daze is catchy too.

Did you like the studio cut of Samba Nova?  I think it's nice and chill.

I love how you can listen to an STP album a bunch.  Then put on some headphones and it's like listening new all over again.  Guitar parts, singing parts, hidden sounds,  etc...  So detailed once again.

Peacoat
Trampled under sole of another man's shoes cause I walked too softly.  But in my defense, he was a Macho Pendejo.

So many great songs, but after a week of listening to this album, Peacoat is still my favorite. Can't seem to get enough of FKoM or Maver. And Hazy Daze has been coming up quickly from behind all the rest lately.
But she'll never really be alone...as long as I'm beside her...

Actually, Between The Lines is still my favorite track. I fucking love the shit out the whole album, with a slight reservation concerning Dare If You Dare, but BTL is STP's most rockin' tune in ages.

First Kiss On Mars and Maver are on repeat for me. FKOM is definitely single material.

Huckleberry Crumble
Hickory Dichotomy
First Kiss On Mars
Bagman
(tie) Take A Load Off, Maver, Fast As I Can
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Pretty easy for me. When it come to the best complete songs on the album(chorus, guitar, melody) no order

take a load off, fast as I can, dare if u dare, first kiss on mars, maver and between the lines. I honestly think hazy daze, bagman and peacoat is the most underwhelming part of the album. I do like those songs though, just nothing special

My favorites...

'Cinnamon' (Sunshine trapped in a bottle, shakin' up and poured out for the world to enjoy.)
'Dare If You Dare' (Bowie and John Lennon influenced rocker dripping in technicolor.)
'First Kiss On Mars' (Wonderfully sang song that sounds more like Bowie's Reality era recordings.)
'Maver' (It blends the southern styles of the Black Crowes and even has a George Harrison guitar solo sound in it. Beautiful song.)
'Hazy Daze' (I hear the latter Led Zeppelin sounds in this song. I just love the way this song kicks in. Killer track.)
