You guys are crazy. Cinnamon is pop perfection - RD is an absolute genius. Its my favorite on the album. That being said, its followed closely by Maver, TaLO, and Peacoat. There's not one track I DON'T like. :)
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

We disagree on all things STP except for ILS - lol. Why should the new album be any different?  :D.

First Kiss on Mars
Maver
Cinnamon
Dare if you Dare
Take a Load Off

First Kiss on Mars is my favorite track off the album. And it's pretty hard to say I dislike any song from it, but those are my top favorites.

It IS pop perfection. If this was released as A single in 1966...1967, it would have been HUGE. With it flavored in that era, it also has a modern sound. The album as a whole is a magnificant mix of sounds .It's like an audio time capsule. It is a true tribute to the bands and music that STP have been inspired by and respect. It has been stated in recent interviews that they are unashamed of the the familiar sounds we hear throughout the album. STP has the same uplifting attitude and vibe that i feel when i listen to Rubber Soul and Revolver. I place those albums on my 'Summer Albums' list...as i now place STP on that list as well.

Other titles on my 'Summer Album' list...
Pet Sounds- Beach Boys
Scary Monsters (...and super creeps)- David Bowie
Stone Roses (Self Titled)- Stone Roses
In Color- Cheap Trick
The Soft Bulletin- Flaming Lips
Forever Changes- Love

Can't stop listening to Maver. Arguably their best ballad

Picked up the album tonight, so far have given it 2 full listens so this is subject to change, but, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.  Still, the songs aren't as "epic" as they used to be.  I don't know I think the band has lost their edge the past couple of albums, but that's not to say I don't like the recordings, because I do.

Now, with that said, the songs that really stand out for me are:

Hazy Daze - LOVE this track
First Kiss On Mars
Maver
Take A Load Off
Dare if You Dare

Still need to let the second half of the album soak in, but pretty happy with the release so far.  Cinnamon seems to be a hot topic around here, and it is very poppy, pretty catchy.  Not sure if I really like it or not.  I think if it was released as a B-side (something they don't do much of) then I think I would get a bigger kick out of it.

Between the Lines I have already played to death.  Great song, but it gets, boring, after repeated listens.  Back to the album I go...

Oh.. and I still wish the band would quit playing the same setlist every night. Mix it up.. throw some deep album cuts in the mix, you don't have to play Plush every friggin night, etc, etc, etc.. same old argument there thats been going on for .. oh, 10 years?  But that's for another thread...

Here's my Faves:
Between the Lines
Huckleberry Crumble
Cinnamon
Fast as I Can
Maver
First Kiss on Mars

No particular order.  Each one of these songs brings Weiland's vocals in a new light.  Great diversity.

I KINDA like:

Take A load Off
Bagman is just a simple tune, and I'm over the Batman theme song thing.
Peacoat is starting to grow on me.
Samba nova
Hazy daze

I cannot stand:

Cinnamon, not by choice, I just can't.
Hickory Dickory Dichotomy
Huckleberry Finn Crumble Cake
Between the lines, just not feeling it.

This album really does lack a certain groove that I hear on every other release. I hear more VR than STP in this album.
You dirty pirate hooker. Go back to your home on Whore Island!

Everything but Bagman including bonus track Samba Nova on the deluxe edition. I've never liked this much on an album before.

I really do love every song on this album, so any "favorites" I list barely stand out from the rest of the songs because right now, I don't really have any complaints with any of them, although I will admit the only part of Bagman I really dig is the bridge and chorus and Between The Lines is great, but I think I played it too much. So anyway, here are my favorites at the moment and in no particular order:

Take A Load Off
Huckleberry Crumble
Cinnamon
Fast As I Can
First Kiss On Mars
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

Certainly, if the name of your band is the Jonas Brothers  ;D
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..
