Weiland sounds fanfuckingtastic!!! It's definitely aged and still shaky like recent, but it's very polished and legit sounding!

Is it just me, or does Interstate Love Song sound better a half-step down? Since the reunion it's been missing that feeling of depth it used to have with Scott's chest voice and the P-90s. I think this is the best that song has sounded since 08.

And I have to say-- from the videos I've seen-- Scott wasn't the only one on fire last night. Dean's just taking it to another level!
this version is still in standard tuning, i just played along with it with my acoustic.

But great live version nonetheless!

I'm pretty sure it's a half-step down. Dean's using the same guitar as he used in Huckleberry Crumble and Sex Type Thing (2nd Wine Red) in that video, both those songs are performed in Eb rather than standard... Scott is deffinetely not reaching as high in the chorus as before. And the guitar sounds a bit less sharp, even though he's using the same tone he's been using since 08.

Whatever the case may be, they are doing something different. And whatever it is, I like it.

I think the only songs they have done 1/2 step down are sour girl, piece of pie, sex type thing, and huckleberry crumble

I just compared audio samples with the studio version digitally tuned 1/2 step down with the live version and there was a huge difference.  Its definitely in standard tuning (the song itself is in E major).

Watching these videos is awesome. They sound tight!

What kinda bums me out is that this is the JKL show. I could have gone to see them play for free here, but oh well. Glad you all enjoyed it!

main issue i had with the crowd, other than the amount of people that you could tell had no business being there, was this little f*cker (who was clearly hammered/stoned out of his mind), who once the show started decided to start pushing through, bouncing off people trying to get near the front..he came pushing through people who were much bigger than him and ended up getting bounced off into this girl who he ended up headbutting in the side of her face, and then ended up in front of me...during the whole show his digital and cell stayed up in the air taking picture after picture after picture...i'm not gonna lie, in the past, i have been a picture fiend at shows, but it's really not neccessary to be snapping pics during entire songs for the entire show...

other than that the band was totally on point and put on a hell of a show.

Silvergun, You must have been standing right behind me... I was wearing a black backwards STP hat and I was with the girl who got headbutted. She was not happy to say the least.

I think I know the person that you guys are talking about. Was he wearing a No.4 t-shirt?

yea thats him.....

ps: you the same rob that showed up on line same time as me?

Yeah that would be me. Nice meeting you man.

From Doug Grean's Twitter page:

Could this mean an official release is coming?

Please tell me he just jumped off the stage and that's it.
