To me, this sounds like something the Black Crowes could have done on their last album or two...

Well no...why?  Because the Black Crowes don't have Rob DeLeo plain & simple! ;)

This song sounds like STP to me. This is fucking classic STP! I am blown away by this track and it gets better with every listen.

I wasn't sure if I was hearing "pendejos" but now I know I am.

'Cause she could play the six-string better than
Those macho pendejos

I love the lyrics of this song. It's grown on me quite a bit.

It seems like they took a little bit of everything they've ever done and made it brand spanking new through a new sound that's been long forgotten from the 60's. I love it.

It wasn't derogatory.   I love the Crowes and have all their records.  But this song could have fit somewhere between Lions and Before the Frost...Until the Freeze.

I'd like for Michael Bay to direct a video for this song. All over the top country style, over dramatic, dumbed down for the masses. NOT!!!

I'm really liking the mix of country sounds in this. Scott's lyrics are also quite good and the piano riff is catchy as hell.

very SLDDish. i dont get why people are saying this is the most clear since core or whatnot because i couldnt see any of this songs being on core. somewhat like tiny music but i would fit this more along the lines of Purple. i'm much more of a fan of this than tiny right now.

Love this song, but was the early fadeout really necessary?  Did Atlantic pay them some kind of bonus if they submitted an album with no song over five minutes?

Here is THE highlight of the album "macho pendejos"
That word never sounded so sweet before, I couldn't help giggle :D never expected to hear that word

Now, Maver is beautiful... great lyrics

That's my favorite part of the song. At first I was like "no.... no way he's saying pendejos."

DITTO!!! This song could be one of the greatest things this band has ever done. And that's saying A LOT! I would love to see a proper live treatment for this song. Like Elton John on piano.  ;)
But she'll never really be alone...as long as I'm beside her...

Word! I think "macho pendejos" is the best line in the song too. Maver is now in my top 10 for STP songs. It's a real feel good, mood enhancing song that has major hit potential. Sadly though, I don't think they will ever play it live because of the strong piano, unless Scott shows us his piano chops.

Scott playing piano live would be a HIT, but won't happen.

To start off I didn't know "pendejo" was used outside Argentina-Uruguay (Chile maybe?) and (seems so) with the same meaning (originally it means something different) so double shock :D
