One of my favourites, in some parts of it I can hear old STP  :)

I love part with "now you were my favorite show"  :D

At first listen, this was my least favorite song along with Dare if You Dare.

Now, this is one of my favorites only because I like the transition from the pre-chorus to the chorus and I like it when bands repeat the chorus twice towards the end of a song.

Looking at the lyrics, I'm pretty sure this song is about Paz.

Can we really find
A lovely magic place we dream of?

"Toxic love connection was the way it began
Not necessarily dope but it was straight obsession
Couldn't sleep it off, but ah hell who needs sleep?
96 months later it was, well you know"

The 96 months later part should give it away...definitely about Mary.

Like BiPolarbear126, the first couple times I listened to this song I didnt care for it much.  Now, it is one of my favorites on the whole CD.  Scott really sells this song for me.

Ditto, I didn't care for this song at all when I first listened to it, now it's on heavy rotation.  That's what I love about listening to a new STP record...every song will eventually grow on you.

I loved this song when I heard the Myspace preview, but when the album came out I didn't listen to it much. Now, I'm realizing how much I really do love the song.

I think it's the best song on the album, and that says a lot on an album where every song could be a potential single.

Easily my favorite jam off the new album but haven't seen much feedback on the board?  Also what do you think the 96 month reference is to?

you know it took me a minute to warm up to Peacoat. At first listen I got a kind of "Superhuman" by VR vibe to the song and wasn't blown away. With every listen it has grown on me. I think it's a killer groove and Scott (as Dean pointed out) did a marvelous job with it.

As for 96 months... it equals 8 years. How long was he married to Mary for? 8 years sounds about right. That would be my first guess.

I love the jam.  Reminds me of Purple. Chorus kills me lyrically and melodically.  Juge - great call on the 96 months

I'm pretty sure 96 is how long Scott & Mary were married.

I love Peacoat. It's the hard song everybody wanted but everybody ignores. It sounds like something that would be on Core but with pop vocals.

Peacoat's a great jam. the opening rhythm sort of reminds me of "man in the box". there's a little hairband action in the "i sleep all day" part.feels like an 80s song.

My favourite from the album - that off-kilter vibe at the start is very like "What I Know About Love" by King's X, not in sound but in spirit. Way cool imo.
