I think out of all the samples, I like Peacoat the best. Fast As I Can is a close second. I don't like having 30 second samples but not the whole thing. Soon though.....

I agree, Peacoat is the track that feels kinda sinister to me.  Not bash you over the head aggressive like some ham-fisted song Godsmack would write, but subtly means business.

Yeah, this one was my favorite of the samples. Can't wait to hear the rest!

So Rik/Ivy/possibly Brett...would you guys just want to post all the lyrics? :) Eh? Eh? Only if you happen to be bored.

Some question marks and guesses here:

PEACOAT

You love me more (???)
Cause you can't imagine me as someone old
But in the moment of sinless embrace
Your eyes stare right through me to the back of my face

I sleep all day
You're the cause of pain
We're always good on the road
Now you were my favorite show
As long as buses were rolling along
The destination's unknown

Talks of our connection was the way it began
Necessary dope but it was straight obsession
Couldn't sleep it out, but now who needs sleep?
Now it was 6 months later, it was (???)

I sleep all day
You're the price i paid
We're always good on the road
Now you were my favorite show
As long as buses were rolling along
The destination's unknown

This clip has grown on me, I think this will be a highlight of the album.

"Favourites" seem to be a bit of a theme along with "stores" - record/liquor/shoe store so far.

This song has gotten discussed less than any of the others. But I like it a lot. It's got a really meeeeeaaaan, badass groove to it. I picture Scott in that "undertaker suit" he wears sometimes with fedora and dark glasses, smoking a cig, backed by Frankenstein on drums, the Mummy on guitar and Godzilla playing bass in the video.    8)

It comes from the same dark place that spawned All In The Suit That You Wear.

The opening riff of Peacoat is driving me nuts.  Its very similar to the opening of another song but I can't put my finger on it.  Any ideas?

Ah, yes... "Peacoat." My personal favorite off the album, it just feels like old-school STP to me. Love the riffs, and the overall vibe of the song.

Yeah maybe. lol But its funny you say that because I just was getting mad at myself from the fact every time I hit play on Hazy Daze, I get the Lying Season(AiC) riff stuck in my head even though they are nothing alike. Also I keep getting reminded of Layne every time Scott says Yeah in Take a load off. STP and AiC are my favorite two bands but I wish my brain could tell them apart :/

Peacoat deserves more love! One of the better songs on the album
