Lets just hope every listener feels the same. I hope this goes top 10 on the rock charts.

I think TALO is wayyyyyy better than BTL. So if it doesn't do better, I'll be shocked. STP gonna have 2 top 10 singles at the same time!

i like the choice....it's a good song to 2nd single....another option might be "Dare If You Dare" (DIYD sounds like All The Young Dudes in chorus -_- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amnjZtNDKqk)

I'm glad Take A Load Off was chosen as the next single. It's the best song on the disc, with Samba Nova as a close second.

I just didn't dig BTL at all. Actually, the only part of BTL I liked was the bridge. That may be because Nirvana's Stay Away is one of my favourite rock tunes.

I lie the song a lot overall, but there's too much repetition of "...take a load off, yeah, take a load off, yeah..." SIX times is too much. If it had been 3 or 4 repetitions it would have sounded better IMO.

Finally a good choice for a radio single after a sordid history of these kinds of choices.
STP Shows: 12/12/1996 | 10/12/2001 | 05/17/2008 | 05/22/2008 | 03/20/2010 | 08/20/2010
CheSTP Shows: 04/23/2015
JeffTP Shows: 09/26/2019
Velvet Revolver Shows: 05/19/2004 | 11/21/2004 | 04/29/2005 | 08/13/2005 | 05/10/2007 (w. Slash signed Setlist) | 08/28/2007
Scott Weiland Shows: 05/10/2014 | 11/20/2015

I think he did this because of the rhythm he turns around over the 3/4.

Also it was featured on the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals. And "All in the Suit that You Wear" was on some Roland Garros clip. Looks like STP is the new ESPN's soundtrack.

TALO is my fave song on the new record, glad the rest of the world will get to experience it ... I can see either "First Kiss on Mars" or "Dare If You Dare" as single #3 (as well as the big VH1 song from the record, if you will).
I got a picture of a photograph ...

I say the next single should be Hazy Daze. Best song on the album, IMO.

I dunno about this... I don't really think 'Take A Load Off' is a good choice for a single compared to 'First Kiss On Mars' or 'Cinnamon'. They have a large female fan base and I think, in my opinion that STP should aim at them too.

BTW, I'm a guy.

Just my opinion though...
AND I THINK I THINK TOO MUCH...

I love this song, but like someone said above would not mind seeing a "take a load off" or two taken out for the radio edit.  As far as the reception it will get from the public...who the hell knows.  We can only guess what non-fanboys will choose.  I'm a total fan-boy myself so I know that anything I love from this band has an opportunity to flop on radio so I just enjoy the hell outta the music that noone ever thought was going to be made :)
With all I've said and all that's dead for you.
