I don't really care for the whole use concert footage mixed in with random stock images to pass as a music video. Not saying the video was bad, but it definitely wasn't memorable. A music video is supposed to be a 'mini-movie,' at least that's what the medium used to be.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

This video made me realize how TALO would be such an epic concert song.
Picked a song, sang a yellow nectarine.

Cool video, but the timing of it's release is odd. Still, maybe it will give the song a push on the charts...

The tropical island seemed a tad random!

I agree; I wouldn't say I hate that part, but it was moving moving moving and then all of the sudden it's like, "Huh?"  Other than that, I think it captures what STP are all about.  Hopefully the Cinnamon video won't be concert footage as well; I'm betting that the reason TALO is concert footage is because it's just a link inbetween BTL and Cinn; nothing to fancy.
“The news reports said I’d torched $10,000 worth of Scott’s clothes, which was wrong by a factor of eight. He was somewhat insulted at their estimate: ‘Eighty thousand dollars, Mary,’ he said later.”

loved it!! agree that the "concert footage interspersed with random stuff" can seem like a cop out, but I think it's done super well here, captures the energy of the song/band perfectly IMO :)

And as of right now, there's no mention of it on the band's web site. I don't know, maybe it's unofficial?

No way the Cinnamon video is a "live" video like TALO. I like the TALO video, but that would be absolutely ridiculous if the Cinnamon video is the same thing. It just wont happen, kinda like the Jets beating the Ravens this week...it just wont happen ;)

It's a shame STP aren't getting an actress/celebrity to play Scott's love interest in the Cinnamon video.  Sarah Michelle Gellar did wonders for the Sour Girl video.  I know Scott is older now but he is still pretty handsome and could pull off having a love interest in a video aged anywhere between 20 and 40.

STP Shows: 5/1/08, 6/24/08, 12/31/08, 7/1/09, 5/25/10, 6/5/10, 10/29/10, 9/22/12, 5/30/13, 9/1/13
Velvet Revolver Shows: 7/22/06, 9/15/07
Scott Weiland Shows: 12/14/08, 12/8/11

ooo thanks for that!

Watched it a couple more times, I totally love this vid. Perhaps partially because of all the shots where they're clearly walking around Ottawa, ON (my hometown).

do you know for sure that they're not? I nominate Zooey Deschenel. ;)

Great video. I think the concept of the video matched the song quite well. Definitely reminds of  'Trippin...'.

Thanks, I like it a lot although, as with many things in STP-land, it makes me sad that it's been yet another missed opportunity.

x2 - especially since I really like the video!  It has that whole Trippin/Down/No Way Out video vibe to it.  Plus, anything that starts off with Weiland in those white shoes shaking his leg like that...  that's good by me.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

The promotion for "STP" started out so well. But now, they put out this music video way too late AND it's a video that doesn't look all that complicated to make (probably could have done it on iMovie in a few hours) AND it's a "live" video of a song never even played live to boot............

WOW! I just shit myself! That is one of my all time favorite videos of any band, ever........I feel blessed to love this group of creatures as much as I do. This shit makes my soul freak!

1 love,
-Chase

This quote really sums up my views too, it's a great time to be an STP fan and this video just reminds me of how awesome this reunion has been.  We easily could have ended up with a half assed/slow paced reunion like Soundgarden where it's uncertain if they'll even tour/record (I'm not knocking Soundgarden's talent, I'm knocking their lack of work ethic) but STP are actually a real band with a real future.  We've gotten tons of awesome shows and an amazing new album, this music video really sums it up.
