I could have sworn that I posted the link to the stream, but the homepage clearly states: Thanks to Vaporized: Head over to Spin.com for a brand new streaming STP song, "Take A Load Off"! I must have been REALLY, REALLY high when I THOUGHT that I posted the link. LoL. Maybe if I had joined 5 years before I did I would have gotten some cred...

I hope you don't lose any sleep over it.
I doubt I will. I MAY however lose some sleep for the same reason that you are though.... Every damn time that I'm almost asleep I think to myself, "Let me check one more time." LoL.

Take A Load Off reminds me of a cross between Tiny Music era STP and AOA musically. Vocal delivery has a Purple or Tiny Music vibe. Song itself is allright in my opinion. Myself I didn't take to it as quickly as the other 4 we have heard thus far. My overall favorite song so far out of the full 5 we have heard would be Huckleberry Crumble. I am really hoping this album will be better then Tiny, Number4, and SLDD.

I'm with Velvetloungefly on this one.  Good song vocals way overproduced.  STP is such a good live band they don't need this auto tune crap and a million vocal overdubs.   It makes them sound cheap.   Good music I'm just not digging the production so far especially the vocal production.

Unless of course Scott can't sing the way he used to and after hearing the production on this album, I'd say it's a good possibility.
Take it.

I'm a fan.  Not their best work, but I think this is the best song pther then Between The Lines.

Reminds me of Transmissions From a Lonely Room.  Anybody else agree?  At least the first part and the verses
"This song is called lounge fly, and there\'s a lounge, and there\'s a fly in it"

They completely took pieces of previously released Army of Anyone music again.

9 years and we basically have some Army of Anyone music being re-used, an Aerosmith song ripoff mixed in with some other not true STP.

If I had 9 years to write, I would think that I could write new material and I would sure as hell hope that someone around me would go "hey man, that sounds a lot like what we did here...or they did here...etc"

I am hoping the rest of what I have not heard is more unique and actual STP.

I think I like this song so much is because Dean has the chorus effect on his guitar that was so prominent from core-purple. I LOVE that sound, no one else really has that distorted chorus sound.

While the verses have that tiny music guitar sound to me.

I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS!!
