Damn you guys.......you all have recordings and can you put in a little BE love and get these uploaded. Find the model number pvr you have and google how to extract the video. I've done it for years even with dishnet 921 encrypted models. The hardest one I had to do was take the cover off and hook the hard drive from the pvr up to my computer and boot my computer and fire up this program called dishrip . It automatically finds the pvr dvr hard drive and shows you all the shows on it recorded and you can select which ones to extract to the hard drive. You can also pick curtain formats such as mpeg2,avi and wmvhd .
Get on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hawk.
Even if I take my cover off my DVR and hook up the DVR hard drive, it still sounds like I need a Linux PC to extract the files- and even that process does not sound like it's gauranteed to work. Trust me, I really would love to upload this and have the ability to burn a copy, because I won't have this satellite box forever.
If you come across a sure fire way to get files off a Dish Network VIP622, I'm happy to give it a try.
EDIT: The only option I can think of at the moment is to use my HD camcorder to record the footage off of my HDTV screen, and I doubt anyone will find that quality very acceptable. However, I'd consider doing that if no one else is able to upload.
