I think Scott is slowly dropping some of the more annoying habits be picked up in VR.  Hopefully he stops trying to oversing everything soon...

yeah, don't know why, but in the early days of STP he had a cooler stage presence. more genuine maybe?

now it's like he's trying to just put on moves for the crowd rather than expressing the emotions of the songs.  I'm not in his head, though, so I'm just guessing.

Some people just hate on everything.  Maybe its because STP was more hip and mainstream back in the day so it seemed he had a cooler stage presence?

I don't see why any of you complain about his stage moves, they have never been original in the first place except during core and purple. After that he just kinda took Iggy Pop and Perry Farrel plus the fact that he was high as hell!
During VR he just kinda took Mick Jagger and Axl,  then he slowly changed it around during Libertad to more of the aged Perry F. Thing. People bitch when the man stays still and bitch more when he moves.... should he just perform sitting down?!?

He should do what that guy from Staind does, and just stand in one spot for the whole show .. or maybe the Tool dude who doesnt face the audience.

You probably already all know this but the show is on AT&T Uverse on-demand in HD... I just found it today while I was browsing the on demand stuff and thought "SWEET!"  Over an hour long.. great stuff.  Makes me want to go see them live again for sure!

With people's stage presence...  It's just a personal preference, but doesn't keep me from enjoying the music.  I don't care that much for Scott's moves, but wouldn't say I hate it.
and it is my opinion that back in the earlier years he didn't do those kind of moves that he does now (which some don't prefer).

Hey, a question to everyone who attended this. Did Dean ever pull out his regular Tele (the sunburst one)? He has been using that for Hickory Dichotomy, but I noticed on the Kimmel that he was playing a different Tele with a humbucker on it.

Since Hicky D is in open G, maybe he's putting the burst one in Standard tuning for use on other songs from the record? Cinnamon, First Kiss on Mars, and a few others were primarily recorded on Teles is I recall right.

Yes.  Definitely that.  Though he can dance a moonwalk if I can just get him to stop oversinging everything.  He's blowing out his voice.
