If you're not waiting in line for the show, you can stand across the street by Hollywood High School(30 yards away) on the public sidewalk and just watch sound check. There is a parking garage next to the Kimmell parking lot, errr concert venue. Park in the garage(if not full) to use the views of stage. Get to the roof for soundchek and show(if possible) to snap some pics or video. Rent a cops will be combing the garage. So be "cool" about things. If I'm not mistaken, you can go to Baja Fresh to get your parking validated. Want to park quick and pay, Hollywood Highland garage across street from Kimmell theatre. Want free parking, find something south of Sunset. In-n-out on Sunset near Kimmel too. Want to find free parking around Kimmell, good luck.
I watched soundcheck mostly from across the street last time. With my 3 year old boy, my lady, my dog Potato, and some In-n-out. Good times. Then I got to watch Silvergun Superman from the Parking garage roof before we left. That was a good fuckin' day in life, thanks STP.
