Just watched it and it was a pretty kick-ass rockin' performance. Love seeing STP on Letterman again.

Love it!! If there was some issue with the sound I blame the set, TV sets are NEVER good to play live, there's always something that goes wrong.

Lucky guys, you have these stuff on TV it's amazing!

I have a musical background and understand and have worked in live sound.  So I hear these kinds of things.  That doesnt mean I cant enjoy a performance.  Nor should my or any other forum member's noticing of these things have any bearing on anyone's opinion of the performances.  Just something we noticed, nothing more nothing less.

Ya, hee was a little off key in the beginning, ya, he missed one word, and ya, there was feedback once, but it was GREAT, band was tight and his voice got stronger as he went. 9/10. Well done STP.

And he didn't look pissed to me.

At least Dean didn't kill himself by tripping!  Superb performance.

I loved the performance.

Scott came in a little off key for the very opening, but caught himself right away and the rest was near perfect. I think he's just not used to singing it a half-step down (or however much lower they are playing it)

My biggest problem is with Letterman's sound guys, they just don't know how to mix it perfectly. Dean's guitar seemed a little low in the mix IMO.

Over all, it's deffinitely Scott's best televised performance since the end of Velvet Revolver. Great to have the boys back to pretty much full strength.

I have to disagree with you about that last part. Scott's solo performance of "Paralysis" on Jimmy Kimmel was amazing! The studio recording is very much a studio-recorded track and he still rocked it live.

I know someone that went to the show.  My friend said that STP actually played the song twice due to that feedback issue.  The guests were asked to stay so STP could play the song again.  When my friend watched the broadcast they said they ended up using the original performance with the bit of feedback.  I thought it was just an intersting tidbit.

I thought the feedback was the "wah" ish sound that's in the recorded version at first...funny how it happens to sound just like it!
