WTF, are they on Leno?  I just watched the opening of the show and they had another act on istead of STP?

They cancelled.  Nobody knows why.  We can only speculate.  So sad.  When you organize your day around a band
so you can see them on late night TV and they aren't on.... What do you do?  You go to a message board and post
random sentences, thinking someone feels as let down as you do.

IMO "Between the Lines" being the first single hurt this album.  Yes, it was #1, but based on the weakness of the debut sales it wasn't a strong enough single to keep people interested in hearing more STP.  There going to have to tour their asses off to get a gold out of this album.

Shit if BTL hurt STP then they were f'd either way .  BTL is a great tune and I doubt any other songs would have been played as much as it was.

Whats STP to do in term of radio and people who listen to it.  BTL ddint appeal to the masses, so they release TALO which would appeal to more fans but no ones playing it.

Absolutely.  BTL was a good song with good buzz.  KROQ in LA didn't touch SLDD album or VRs last album, but they played the crap out of BTL.  I suppose touring Europe didn't help.  But I agree, they were f'd.  It certainly wasn't the promotion of this album.  Perhaps Cinnamon has some legs.

Ouch! TALO off down 6 spots. Not surprised though. I could see this coming from the fmqb playlists. Its official folks; the song flopped :(

What does this mean for the tour now? It was so ill timed that they now don't have a single to promote because of the death of TALO. It isn't like playing it now is going to do much. It is weird seeing a band tour to support a new album without having a single to support. But they are definately between singles again. They need to release Cinnamon like tomorrow. Won't happen that quickly though.

Great to see a rock band pull those kind of numbers. A7X has been in the public spotlight the last few years though, which STP hasn't been their in a long time.   Plus, I'm sure the death of the drummer peaked some interest as well.

Q101 in Chicago played TALO three times yesterday, and twice so far today. In comparison, Avenged Sevenfold's 'Nightmare' was played five times yesterday. It was played at a decent time too. (10:30am-11)

I can MAYBE see them playing Cinnamon, because it is STP, and they play some artists I wouldn't consider your typical rock like Ludo, Neon Trees, Modest Mouse and Gorillaz.

101.9 rxp in NY continues to give STP plenty of spins. 5 songs today already (Big Bang Baby, Vasoline, Big Empty, Interstate, and TALO)...so good to see TALO's still getting plays even with Cinnamon right on the horizon, along with 4 other tracks
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.
