The new album is currently the number 12 best selling album on Amazon.

#7 in    Music > Rock
#12 in Music > Pop
#1 in    Music > Hard Rock & Metal > Hard Rock

The deluxe edition is currently 48th overall.

Not too shabby! I'm guessing it'll soon go to number 1.

#7 selling on itunes...so far...
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

I could not be anymore happier right now with the early success of the new record! Everything is going smooth for these great guys. I'm listening to the peace album every friggin day now! love love it!

Also...check out the "What's Hot" section on iTunes and you'll see Thank You nestled in there. I guess we're gaining some new fans possibly!

I've only been able to give it a couple of listens so far.
It may take a bit more warming up for me on it.

My girlfriend thought the lyrics were dumb when she first heard it.
I like the song ok, but not great.

I'm glad that the song is making it into the Billboard top lists. It's been so long since anything's been out by STP that it's always a gamble to make a come-back. Plus since SLDD struggled, it makes it more of a chance taker. I hope their success continues. It'd be great to see them as regulars in the music scene again.   :)

Scratch that... here's their alt chart history:

Surprisingly, BTL is their only #1.

For anyone who's interested STP has just made it's first placing on an official album chart (as opposed to a shops chart), they've just landed at no.23 on the ARIA albums chart which is the Australian album chart.

It's not very good, but is in line with their last 2 studio releases which landed at number 21 and 35 respectively.

This is the week, if any, where STP will crack the hot 100.  Combining sales with total spins, the album sales will drive the song onto the chart if the mix is enough.

Alice in Chains hit the hot 100 with Check My Brain the week where Black Gives Way to Blue was released.  It hit #92.

Given that our boys sold roughly 35% what AIC sold, it may be tough to crack the hot 100.

Lets root for em.

Chart update for week of June 12, 2010:

Stone Temple Pilots

Billboard 200: #2
Rock Albums: #1
Digital Albums: #2
Alternative Albums: #1
Hard Rock Albums: #1
Canadian Albums: #2

Between The Lines

Rock Songs: #2, peak #1
Alternative Songs: #8 (-5), peak #1
Canadian Hot 100: #50, peak #50

Yes, BTL has still not charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

P.S.  I think we should use this thread for the chart information of any future singles off of the self-titled album instead of making a new thread every time.  So maybe take "Between The Lines" off of the topic heading.
