It is not. There are very few rock bands in there at all. Pearl Jam is at 93 with Just Breathe. I saw Daughtry and Lifehouse in there, but they are more pop-rock then anything.

They play BTL on the Sirius Alternative channel.  I heard it a few times at the gym where I work out.  They also play big bang baby and Tumble in the rough occasionally.  Besides the occassional STP i'm not a big fan of the station.  At work I usually listen to sirius Deep tracks, Classic Vinyl, Lithium, or Outlaw country.  I don't think they play BTL on Octane.  I don't believe it really fits the channel.  It isn't heavy enough.  They lean more towards the heavier side of rock.  If they play STP its like crackerman Dead and Bloated, sex type thing, down etc.. BTL is more poppy/alternative like big bang baby thats why I think it gets spins on the alternative station.

Majority of the time they do, but I've heard Foo Fighters on there before, so it wouldn't suprise me to hear STP on there.

Its already known but saw this on the website.

NOT SO TINY MUSIC: Having already reached the top of Rock Songs, where the group rules for a second frame, Stone Temple Pilots post their first No. 1 on Alternative Songs, as "Between the Lines" rises 3-1.

The reunited band finally reaches the latter survey's summit with its 20th chart entry, 17 years and two weeks after it first appeared with "Plush" on April 10, 1993.

With Stone Temple Pilots having crossed a No. 1 Alternative Songs hit off their Billboard bucket list, Godsmack now stands as the act with the most appearances on the chart without reaching the apex. "Cryin' Like a Bitch!," at No. 31 this week, is Godsmack's 18th charted title at the format. The band has peaked as high as No. 6 with "Voodoo" in 2000.

Between The Lines is currently number 106 in the iTunes store in the rock section.

In Amazon's mp3 store, Between The Lines is ranked number 346 bestselling overall, and 90 in the rock category.

On Amazon, the physical album is currently ranked number 238th overall, and #3 in the hard rock category.

I think once it actually comes out or Hickory Dichotomy is released as the single, it's going to shoot right up there towards the top.

I wonder when BTL is going to break the Billboard hot 100. If it ever does.

I'm sure it will keep creeping up till the release date of the album. The question is will it have legs after the album is released.

I'm kinda worried because it's lost some ground on both Amazon & iTunes in the past week or so.

Awesome news.  I hope they can keep this up leading to the album's release.
