Awesome write up.  I think I'm hearing a few differences in the 2nd verse.  I bolded them above.

Love this song!  Its a stronger more complete strong than BTL for me.

EDIT: On 200-300 more listens you may be right about lights vs lies.  I can't tell.  I keep going back and forth.

I definitely hear "Brave, brave, brave" You can hear the "v" at the end of the word if you listen closely "as the apostles go".
