I think the song has a Rolling Stones meets David Bowie vibe.  But not in a Dancing in the Streets way!

I agree with the Rolling Stones, the verse section where Weiland is talking sounds a lot like their song "Shattered"

I'm actually digging Bagman a bit more than Hickory Dichotomy or Huckleberry Crumble. I still like Between the Lines the most so far.

Can't wait for the new album!

Hickory Dichotomy lyrics
« Reply #19 on: April 27, 2010, 04:04:42 AM »
I attempted to figure out the lyrics. Suggestions, etc, welcome.

alright, alright, alright, come on
alright, alright, alright, come on
alright, alright, alright, come on
alright, alright, alright, come on

Strange, strange, strange
it's a dichotomy
but it was never quite weird
or quite normal for me

take a break, take a breath
and let's see where we're at
those damn bed bugs are sleeping up in my head
all day, all night

you're telling my story
but you don't know my name
it's a hickory dichotomy
you're messing with my brain

selling the story
are you holding your lion?
hickory dichotomy
I'll tell you the truth ain't divine

alright, alright, alright, come on
alright, alright, alright, come on

Brave, brave, brave
as the apostles go
is it a hickory hypothesis
a one man show

take a rest
take a revel and a lot of lights
but the tall tale teases
keep sneaking in my show tonight
alright

you're telling my story
but you don't know my name
it's a hickory dichotomy
you're messing with my brain

selling the story
are you holding your lion?
hickory dichotomy
I'll tell you the truth ain't devine

you're telling my story
but you don't know my name
it's a hickory dichotomy
you're messing with my brain

selling the story
are you holding your lion?
hickory dichotomy
I'll tell you the truth ain't devine

alright, alright, alright, come on
alright, alright, alright, come on
alright, alright, alright, come on
alright, alright, alright, come on

The only part I'm not sure about is the "are you holding your lion" and "I'll tell you the truth ain't divine."

are you holding your lion? that can't be right...

anyway sick job with the rest of it i wouldntve come close from those youtubes i can barely make out the melody most of the time. it'll be funny to look back at this once the actual lyrics come out
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.
