I am once again reminded that STP almost always writes amazing bridges.

STP's bridges are magical. This one's no different.

Huckleberry is the fucking shit man! That change before the second solo is epic.

I see the Aerosmith comparison, but it's just vintage STP to me. Great riff, great solo, awesome groove from the rythm section, epic changes, and IMO Scott's best vocals in any of the songs we've heard.
Grab the hate and drown it out...

i tried.  can't stand 'huckleberry.'  easily my least favorite song so far.  probably a lonely corner for me on both counts but im feelin 'bagman' the most.

Yes, it's a Motor City reference.. there's a couple of them in the song, methinks..

I remember on one of the live youtube videos of Huckleberry Scott mentioning before the song that it is an "ode to Detroit Rock City."

The wait will be worth it.  ;)

I'm trying to compile the lyrics to this. So far I've got the opening:
Less Conversation
Moral (or more, sounds like moral to me though) obligation
Tell me how you're feeling tonight
Right
Mind's ????
???? you got me shaking
I'm looking for a new meditation, still looking for a new way to fly. Don't want any plastic validation, not looking for a new way to die.

btw, Scott's lyrics on this one are the shizz.

"The rabbit dug a hole straight through to China,
So where do we go?
And where is the rabbit?"

Fuckin' A.

Tasty jam! but that's bout it. Nothing breathtaking. This certainly is a different STP! Anyway, I've only heard 4 songs so far, I'll wait 'til I hear whole thing before making up my mind...

i like huckleberry the most to me it seemed like the band spent more then 5 minutes on this song...the bridge is awesome...its nice to hear dean play on a record like that...he kills it live ,... and i think they matched the live energy with deans recording. Huckleberry is a guitar song all the way... i cant really think of another stp right now that a guitar song. all these song will grow with time.  Im i the only one that like all these songs better live?  well i heard hickory in detroit sooo... yeah they barely played it.

Yeahhhh that one is one sick jam man! I like the very last riff of the song. To me is has the VR sound! Anyone else hear that? Well, so far so good! They've allowed us to give 4 awesome songs a listen! Action packed songs!! Loving it!
