nit pick-nit-pick-nit-pick people!

Ok now that we got that over with lol. It's a brand new STP single! Maybe it has a BBB vibe to it or it has some Dylan in it and ok we hear the Nirvana "Stay Away" part in it. Your point? Great song, great single, they're back on tour playing new songs, sure we'll get a music video from them as well. Between the Lines is solid! They're back in full throttle! What more could ya want!! Smile everyone!  ;D

I wonder what the music video will be like? Maybe it will be something psychedelic.

If you go to mtv.com (one of the most trafficked sites on the net I would imagine) right now the first thing you are hit with is a giant picture of STP and a headline that says "Stone Temple Pilots Thunder Triumphantly At SXSW".

I dont realy feel like hearingall the nit picking, so I just loooked for the links, and Im gonna skip on reading what everyone thinks. Call me a bitch, but at this moment, I dont really care who likes it, what it sounds like, blah blah blah. I hope you all dig it, but m not going to find out who does & who doesn't. This is epic, and I dont want the usual Debbie Downers raining on my parade tonight.

Im just gonna go listen to it for a million times & thank you to all who helped share this song. You RULE!!!

On another note, the recording and production sounds a lot better than No. 4 and SSLD which I'm pleasantly surprised and happy about

I really don't understand why all these shitty critics and the media still don't give STP the credit they deserve.  Claiming they MAY have been in the top 5 groups of the 90's, and constantly talking about all the bad drug history.  I guess they'll never get a break... or let alone be acknowledged for their talents.

Call me crazy but I'm pretty unimpressed. Outside of Days of the Week all of their singles were really strong. Their first record in almost a decade and this is what we get? And it's the first song even? If it was just a casual song on the record it wouldn't be nearly as upsetting. The fact it's the lead off track kinda makes me doubt this record. It's just uninspired typical radio rock stuff, they could do a lot better.

Lyrics are pretty bad in some places. "Penguins don't fly/ crocodile Sunday smile/ I really love to fish but told fish are like people". Huh?

Hopefully the other stuff on the album isn't like this....

Really love to fish but don't like superficial people
Can we really find
A lovely magic place we dream of?
