Just ripped a good quality rip of the KROQ airing.  Having trouble saving it as a high quality wave file though, I could send the full 9 minute recording to somebody with good editing quality maybe and they could edit it down.  If anybody has a good program PM me and I'll send it later for you to crop.

STP Shows: 5/1/08, 6/24/08, 12/31/08, 7/1/09, 5/25/10, 6/5/10, 10/29/10, 9/22/12, 5/30/13, 9/1/13
Velvet Revolver Shows: 7/22/06, 9/15/07
Scott Weiland Shows: 12/14/08, 12/8/11

Is anybody else in a rapture over officially recieving word of two extra tracks? FUCK!!!

I guess it's just you and me at the moment  ???

No, I'm pretty stoked!  Just too much stuff to absorb tonight.  ;)

I wonder what the titles of the songs are.

Considering the fact that they're only bonus tracks, I wouldn't mind seeing that the re-recorded version of "Only Dying" was one of them. Ah, but one could dream...

STP seems like a big band to be at Chili Cook Off. I won't complain, though!

I like the energy of this song. I think it will do well simply because it is new STP. But one thing that I will point out is there is no hummable riff in this song. If you look back at all of the major STP hits (plush, STT, wicked garden, ILS, BBB, Lady picture show, etc) you notice that the guitar riffs in all of those songs can be recreated with your voicie if you hum it out (or sound it out with dun nah nah nah etc). You can't do that with this song. To me, that's always been a selling point on how well a single does (especially for STP). The only exceptions to this rule in STP's catalog are Vasoline and Big Empty (that I can think of right now).

I hope it does well. I just wish it had a distinct, hummable guitar rhythm/riff.

I knew about this site for awhile, it's where I found the single "promos" the band did, the ones announcing the single for... MONDAY! lol -- And after awhile tonight, I figured "Why hide this from other STP fans? Especially when it was public to begin with!"

Vasoline has a very distinct guitar riff. I love this song! I just am leary about the bridge. Is Scott gonna take alot of shit for it sounding almost identical to a Nirvana song. It seems so weird that he would do this. Even if it is an homage, why not just do it lyrically. Even the guitar sounds almost exact to the Nirvina riff in the song. This is the only thing precluding me from loving this shit!! Somebody help me get over the bridge.
