Can someone please tell me why certain fans want a remake of Core? That would be boring and I'd immediately have less respect for STP. At this point, STP should be making music they want to make based on their influences; not what certain fans want.

I hardly ever listen to Core anymore. It's a great album. But it's sound has come and gone.

First post, long time dweller. looonnng time.

I couldn't be happier with this as the introduction to the new album. I've always been impressed with STP's ability to make a strong statement in a short amount of time. This song reminds me most of Vaseline and Unglued for that reason.

Way better "we're baaack" song than DOTW, and while some of you will disagree, I think it is a better introduction than "down" was for 4. Please note I'm not saying it is better than "down." That is too soon to tell.

My favorite band is back And sounding RELEVANT! I couldn't be happier.

The plugin works...should be able to record it with no problem.  Is it ok to post it once I have it?

A PM would most definitely be appreciated.

I just put on KROQ and they're bragging about playing Between The Lines.  It's so cool to see how important STP still is!  Right after they say that they play Pearl Jam's The Fixer.  The 90's bands are taking back rock radio!

STP Shows: 5/1/08, 6/24/08, 12/31/08, 7/1/09, 5/25/10, 6/5/10, 10/29/10, 9/22/12, 5/30/13, 9/1/13
Velvet Revolver Shows: 7/22/06, 9/15/07

KROQ here in LA just said they're going to play Between The Lines again at the top of the hour.  I fired up the recorder so I can get a higher quality recording.

I was stunned to see this in my inbox (email) this morning for our station... I damn near gave-in and listened to the live version floating around YouTube. That all changed the minute I checked my emails and saw it. I love the single very much, a lot better than I expected it to be. Words can't describe it, cannot wait for the album now...

I agree with this statement/comment overall. I like how they switch it up on almost every record they put out. In my opinion, if they stayed with the same sound/style over and over, I probably would not appreciate their music as much as I do today... If I want to hear songs that sound like 'Core,' I'd listen to 'Core.' But to be honest, 'No.4' is my favorite record from the band, and it will always be that album for me.
