If this were any other band I would disagree. It's kind of a generic name, one you might see on some gay alt. band's album. HOWEVER, since it's pulling some lyrics from Interstate, I think it's pretty dope.

What do you think the promotional events behind this single/album will be?  Any live TV appearences?  I know they are in New Jersey on 5/23, 2 days before the album is dropped.  I could see a stop on The Late Show in New York around that time.

Here's my prediction:

5/23: Camden, NJ
5/25: Late Show in NY
5/26: Mohegan Sun, CT

Of course, I live in CT, so i'm trying to be optimistic.  ;)

I'm down for a British 60's style rocker........

My dad is a fan of Paul Revere and the Raiders, so I'd be curious to hear his input of the new STP tune.

4 weeks from today. Exciting!
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

I would put my bets on STP doing Leno instead of Letterman since he has done his solo stuff and VR on Leno in recent years.

Yes, I'm so happy we'll be hearing new STP this month. I'm also all for a leak of the song. Not so much the whole album.

It seems as though some are forgetting about the STP gigs between now and the 30th. They are surely going to play this song at some point before the track hits radio; and when they do somebody is sure to record. So at the very least we will hear a live cut before the single hits the airwaves. I would like to hope that the studio version is leaked to the internet before this happens. I really, for my own selfish reasons, would prefer to hear this track for the first time with clean audio to really indulge properly :)

I don't want a 60's rocker.  I want a Dead and Bloated rocker, or Down rocker.  Dont get me wrong, I love me some STP, but I want them bring it!

Shangri was by far their worst collective effort.  It made me feel like a woman in an abusive relationship.  I knew I should leave, but I love them so much, I convinced myself they didn't mean it.

I want real rock!  I hope they deliver.....

Most likely we'll get something along the lines of Big Bang Baby or Hollywood Bitch.

I can't remember how early they did it from the release date, but I hope they stream the album on their site like they did with SLDD. I think I spent the entire night before next to my computer listening in wake of the release.

I highly disagree with the person who said Shangri was their worst collective effort. Each STP album including Shangri was a gem! I think maybe the new album might have a Tiny Music vibe to it to which I wouldn't mind at all. Loved that album! They could have a 60's rocker, 80's rocker, a 50's rocker, hip hop etc I don't care, we're getting new STP and that's all that matters so be happY!
