the no cameras signs are only a sign of good news, they don't want any versions of this show up on youtube, probably because they'll be playing some new stuff

Stone Temple Pilots don't want photos during their #SXSW show. AMH is closed all night to photogs. Tough luck for the opening bands.

Not only their first show of the year, but also their first show playing new matterial in almost a decade AND a show with Robby Kreiger as a guest performer, and they don't want pictures taken? WTF?

Nooooooooooooo- This probably means no cameras for the entire tour that precedes the album release in order to circumvent and combat bootleg versions of their songs. As much as i think it is a good idea, I think it sucks for us fans going to the shows. I enjoy having photos of the band to commemorate my STP experiences.

The decision is pretty logical, the fact that we don't have a leak of the single yet means they're doing their best to keep it top secret, and I kinda like. Don't think the problem are the photos, but they have to ban everything because there's no way to control who's recording or who's taking pictures.

But...
aww I wanted to see STP and Krieger pics or videos, I wanted to see Scott a la Morrison again   :( (A side note, Krieger owns me a show)

I just don't see why they would ban press photographers, too. I mean if one of those guys records video they're pretty much getting fired.

I guess our only hope is that they are recording it themselves... Even then the show would probably end up locked up in a vault somewhere like the Houdini show
