from what i've heard so far:

Huckleberry Crumble- very Burn era Deep Purple, maybe in the lines of the song "What's Going on Here".

Bagman- i don't think anyone disagrees, Beatles! the song that comes to mind is "Taxman"!
i think even the title is kind of an homage!

Hickory Dichotomy- the chorus is a bit on the Zeppelin side! the rest i can't really tell on the poor audio quallity.

Between The Lines- the chorus is very Nirvana, especially the " even when we used to take..." part! the vocals, the guitar riff and the drums! The rest of the song is what the Deleo brothers have used us to!

these are just somethings i've been thinking ever since i heard the songs!
feel free to bash it!
 ;D

don´t know if anyone has seen this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzmiUy9DQgg

it's a small clip but it has better audio and video than the other!

and i couldn't help noticing, scott is really putting on some weight!
that's a drinking belly!
the drugs kept him thin, but when you stop doing drugs and you're not carefull, you put on a lot of weight in no time, especially when you drink regularly.

it's just something i noticed, and again, feel free to bash it all you want!
 ;)

I have been a fan of STP since '94 and I bought all their CDs on the release day and will always enjoy, but looking at the videos from SXSW it appears Scott is getting tired. It may be from increased sensitivity due to lack of drug pain-masking. It also seems like he is not trying to hit some of the notes. He gets close, but his ability to carry a perfect melody seems diminished. Someone here mentioned a Jagger Swagger, but maybe it is fatigue that is keeping him from his rooster step. Maybe because he hasn't been on tour in a while, maybe because it is the start of the tour? I will let you guys know after tonight's show how they look and sound. >:D

Yeah I'm the one that shot that video and it's definitely noticeable. But he looks and SOUNDS completely healthy. He said in an article that he loves white russians. That'll give you a belly FAST.

Eh. He used to were a size 26 pair of pants so I don't think it's all that big a deal. I'm 140 lbs and compared to Scott I usually look fat lol

BTW, love the country licks in this tune

PS is it just me, or is Scott speaking more clearly? I particularly noticed it in the Hollywood Bitch video, but he seems to pause a lot less when speaking

Just by the way you sound and speak of  personal habits that you think you know about. Your review of whatever show you go to will be tossed in the garbage.  The band is on fire and so is especially Scott.  Oh yeah big fan nice 8th post by the way!!!!!
How the fuck do you know if someone's tired??????  Maybe hard work, finalising, writing, practising, emotions, weather, huge crowds,anticipation,etc......but no its gotta be the drug masking...........duh.

Hey nice guy (or girl)! Like I'm the only one who has commented here about sound quality. I think they are great, and I always will. I will buy every CD (and not steal it). I will go to every show I can. I have been an avid supporter of theirs since '94 and still listen to each CD at least a couple of times a month. I don't think my comments warranted such hostilitly. Is this the kind of forum this is? If so I don't think I want to be a part. Yeah 8 comments. I just found this group yseterday. Did you start off here with 500 posts? How old are you? Does your mom know you are using grown up swear words? Any other members want to comment if this is the type of discussons that go on here? I haven't seen such hostilty elseware on this site. Im jsut saying.
