so far I think Hickory Dichotomy and BTL sound badass. Bagman's lyrics, especially the "honey" and "sugar", are pretty lame I think. That's just based on crappy live recordings with STP playing it for the first time live though, so this could easily change. 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

I absolutely love "Bagman" and "Huckleberry Crumble" is a nice change-up for STP.

No way will this album be SLDD-standard but it could be just what they need at this point.   8)

Wow, I was at work all day and didn't get to check Below Empty until now. It's all so awesomely overwhelming! Good stuff...I'm just so excited about all this. And to JugeSTP, I noticed your comment earlier about Scott's energy and you're definitely right. Scott has implied multiple times he got weary of just doing STP's hits over and over and had a direct quote saying "it's more fun playing stuff you just wrote."
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

Hey I'm going to Winstar to see STP tomorrow night. Does anyone know who is opening for them, if anyone is? I've tried to find info and can't seem to find out. Thanks for any help.

HERE WE GO - Huckleberry Crumble

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0t8OLs_cjg

Sounds like an Aerosmith type of song.  I like it.

Very bluesy and sleezy. I could definitely see an Aerosmith influence.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

I'm really diggin' Huckleberry Crumble

It does have an Aersosmith type vibe to it.  Scott does these type of bluesy songs really well, just check out the HOB performance of Roadhouse Blues for proof.

This is definable far from the STP we are used to.  It's hard to believe that this is the same band that released songs such as Plush and Sex Type Thing!

This new album is gonna rock!!!!!!

I seriously can't wait to hear the entire version of "Hickory Dichotomy". That song might be my favorite right now.

yah dude, this 1:02 clip is fucking killing me!

I love the guitar lines after the chorus so much.

Also, another thought: How fucking awesome is the visualizer!??

it has come along way since 08, glad they have it still...it adds so much to the vibe and energy of their show.
