The other new tracks were “Hickory Dichotomy,” with its slide-guitar, NFL/pro-wrestling get-up-and-go campy feel; “Huckleberry Crumble,” a near-dance tune, less sweet and more rumbly; and general rock ‘n’ roll tune “Bagman,” on which Weiland exercised his idiosyncratic vibrato and his sexy A-stance more than ever.

Hotttt.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Sounds like an Aerosmith type of song.  I like it.

Scott seems to have a definite Jagger thing going on on-stage these days, with the struts, which is not a bad thing at all.

I´ve noticed that too and must confess: I don´t like it very much. It´s kinda weird and I´m still getting used to his new way to perform on stage.

He's been doing that since VR when he decided to turn into Jagger Bowie
just watch wen he starts singing its quite priceless lol
the Bowie is during the breakdown and the perfect part is right after the solo when he says "station.." lol ohhh Scott

MTV said the new songs weren't quite there yet and that some of it sounded like Aerosmith B sides....I don't wanna say this but this shit sounds like VR...I enjoyed Between The Lines more than this one, I mean maybe the band thought about what Scott's been comfortable with for the last few yrs and thought of songs that we more based  Aermosmith meets punk rock which was kinda how VR did their thing, it doesn't mean they are copying VR but just something they kinda did for Scott since  a band usually has to come up with things more based on the singers state of mind and Scott isn't that crazy guy we saw last with the band anymore. this is by far the bluesiest STP song I have ever heard in my life, definitely new ground for the boys but lets all remember this is a good thing, they have done almost every single musical style out there.

I like Bagman as well.  Seems to have a little 1960s Batman theme sound to it during the chorus.

This is shaping up to be a different sounding STP album once again!   :)

I think Bagman is already my favorite of the 3 we've heard....definitely a beatles vibe there
