Wow, BTL sounds fantastic!  The first thing I noticed in the song is the drums.  Kretz was on fire!  Love the overall sound, even just from the crummy YouTube clip.  I don't hear the VR similarities at all, and I was a big VR fan.   ???   Scott seems to have a definite Jagger thing going on on-stage these days, with the struts, which is not a bad thing at all.  Love the setlist too.  I hope it stays the same or very similar for Milwaukee in one week!

ok, i just heard between the lines on youtube!!
very cool song!
it has a bit of a VR feel to it, don't you guys think?
the riff?
and a bit of the voice as well?

but the audio is pretty bad on this, so i'm gonna wait for the single to come out to really listen!

anyway liked it very much!
very strong and melodic, sticks in your head!

After listening to it a few times, at about 1:30, I was reminded of Nirvana's Stay Away, the vocal bantering specifically..not a bad thing.. Either way I am liking the youtube video, can't wait for a clearer version though.

I´ve noticed that too and must confess: I don´t like it very much. It´s kinda weird and I´m still getting used to his new way to perform on stage.
Whatever they say I am, that's what I'm not!

why does everything has to be compared to VR, if it sounds similar it's because, let me check...wait a second...yes, yes it turns out Scott Weiland did indeed sing in velvet revolver. if it sounds like any band in particular it's Nevermind-era Nirvana or Tiny Music-era STP...

i wasnt to big on days of the week or even completely drawn in with Down even though I loved it cause it was new stp at the time! But Between the Lines gave me that feeling back in 1996 when I first heard Big Bang Baby I thought hmm, i really really dig this song! I feel the same way about BTL. It ACDC rocks man!

Let's hope this is an error and they still plan on releasing 12 songs :)

"Bagman," meanwhile, is one of STP's catchiest songs yet: a gritty pop-rock jam with a hint of the Beatles -- Weiland firing the song's lead vocal hook -- "I'll do what you want" -- over and over, a prime example of the astounding singing SPIN noted at a recent Stone Temple Pilots listening party.
