THEY SOLD OUT WTF!

Not suprised at all. Riv is a small venue. AIC sold out pretty quick too when they played there before, as did Velvet Revolver's first run of shows back in 2004. Shit, that show sold out in two minutes. I was lucky to go to that one.

I'll just try to win tickets  ;D
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Not even knowing what the show was like, I'm really glad I didn't drop $200 on seeing this show with my fiance. Seeing these clips from past dates, and hearing the new stuff they are playing, for me, it would have been a complete waste of money.

The new songs suck live (I'm holding out hope they will sound much better on the record) and the performances are half-assed. I'm thankful I got to see them in 1996 and 2002... better performances for half the cost.

I'm beginning to think them making this record was just a total cash grab. If it was all about the music, they would have been able to stand each other long enough to record together in the same studio. If it was really about the music, the Deleo's and Kretz should punch Scotty in his fucking head when he goes on stage late and fucks up their music. Listen to your bootlegs from 1994, 1996 and 2002. This is a far cry from that sound.

Don't give me this BS about the band evolving. That's total crap. IT DOESN'T SOUND GOOD ANYMORE!!! If people will be using that they are older, then they shouldn't be out there playing any longer.

By seeing Scott out there hammered night after night or on pills or whatever he's doing, not even in April, I have a feeling they might not make it before the record comes out.

Fuck it. I always come back when they are doing something new. I got frustrated the last time they toured, I got frustrated when Scott did the second solo thing. I kind of dug AOA because the music was halfway decent but I hate Richard Patrick so that went down the dumper for me. I'm glad VR broke up because they annoyed me with their 'biker rock.' Now STP gets back together and it's not even a month into these shows and we get the same old drama with Scott flailing on stage and sounding like shit.

Since things change, maybe I just don't like Scott anymore. Which is weird because I still love all of their old albums and I still listen to all the same music I did 10 and 15 years ago...
Take it.

They are filming the show tonight for a VH1 special, according to Dean, so it will be interesting for sure.  Hope it goes off well.

I just hope the rest of the band throws some sense into Scott before tonight...i would be pissed if my first STP concert is a complete debacle. Not to mention the embarrassment for the band if Vh1 is taping it.

Agreed. I really hope he gets it together because too many of those shows in a row will break up the band again.

Nothing like seeing your favorite band implode on stage. Being at the PNC debacle, I actually felt sick to my stomach and was more sad then anything. Shit, I met the band (minus Scott) earlier that day and was super excited... Boy what an evening that was.

Oh boy.... This could be one well documented train wreck. No pressure STP.

Actually, the played Still Remains the last time they played the Riv in 02. I was lucky to see that one. This time around, I seriously doubt it, especially after last time.

I'm somewhat glad I didn't plunk down cash on this show either. Although, I would love to hear the new tunes.

Thanks Vaporized for the heads up I was gonna drop $100 on the Milwaukee show and I've been hearing that the shows have been sucking.

It's STP man. One night they fuck up, the next night could be the best show of the year. You just never know.

On the other hand, I wouldn't spend 100 bucks on a show. Even if it was STP at their best.

I'd spend $100 if I know their gonna be at their best but spending that much and taking a risk is not something I like to do.

Strange.  That's what Dean told me before the Milwaukee show, so who knows.
