I have both

<-- collector

However, I also have seen a third design.  Its basically a color variant of the flowers one.  Same design but instead of the purple flower its another teal one.

x 2

..the color variation (at least with mine) is between the US release (purple flower) and the Japanese import (teal flower) - same color situation as Aaron.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

I have the flower design for Purple and the white/red/blue beach ball design for Tiny Music. I'm curious to see the other designs.

wow I had no idea there was another design for tiny music, i wonder if there are other designs for the rest of STP's albums in other countries or in the US? As far as I know the most popular artwork for purple is the flowers. Never heard of the teal flower design though that's cool.

my first copy of purple had the scales, purple #2 was flowers.

the flower cd always reminded me of the flowers on the cake on the back of the album.  here is a link

the flowers are from the cake

I too have the beach ball Tiny Music...

If anybody is collecting the different versions, I recommend going to a used book store that sells used CDs (One by me, for example, has a huge STP collection.... Most stores like that are a 90s rock dumping ground) and look inside the cases to see which disc it carries. Better than buying a new one outright I say.

Hehe thats what I did too.  Good advice.  The teal flowers Purple is still eluding me, but someday it will be mine :)

Yeah, I gave the dragon scale copy to my dad years ago. Funny thing is, every copy I've ever had of Purple has had the scales, the "rarer" copy.

It took me six years to get my hands on the Japanese import of Tiny Music...  Hang in there, Aaron.  You will capture a copy one day!!

I bought my Purple in 1994 at the age of 14 and got the one with dragon scales, my wife (who I wouldn't meet for another 6 years) bought it the same year and got the other version. Years later we completed each other!

Cheese anyone?  :D

My first copy was from BMG, and had the birthday cake design.  Years later my brother picked up a used copy with the dragon scales.  Up until that point, I never knew it existed.
