On Loaded's official site about The Taking (last record)

What’s very cool about The Taking, besides its eclecticism, is that a unifying principle of stripping down, simplifying and courting pregnant pauses seems to have been applied to all the bubbling under smartness, an idea that helps Loaded (on, for example, ” We Win” or ” She’s An Anchor” ), continually achieve a catchiness reminiscent of penultimate Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots anthems.

And we got another mash up instrumental on ESPN's Monday Night Football (Giants/Saints) during the player intros, but of Tumble this time. Guess ESPN likes Tiny Music.

I already posted this on the topic about Scott's Christmas album, but I'm thinking it might belong here instead...and I am too outraged by what it says about STP...

http://www.mercurynews.com/music/ci_19442609

'The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,' Scott Weiland (Softdrive)
Having   spent years perfecting an Eddie Vedder impersonation, and with his long   list of drug and legal problems, the San Jose native might seem an odd   choice for someone to try the role of Christmas crooner on for size.   Amazingly, it fits him better than anyone could've reasonably expected.   He's no Johnny Mathis, but he also doesn't embarrass himself, as other   rockers have, on these Christmas staples. It's not likely to mark a   career change, though, and Weiland will surely be back leading his de   facto Pearl Jam tribute act, Stone Temple Pilots, in the near future.

The guy who wrote the article is just another "Love to hate Scott Weiland" guy who just remembers Plush and has based his comments around the stories of Scott sounding like Vedder. N well seems like he worships PJ :P Good for him, but facts unchecked.

He should go back and listen to "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" offa the Jay Leno show and not to mention the slow tracks Scott's worked on. But he definitely won't since for him sadly, his opinion first over facts and an open mind :P

When i saw dat performance on tv (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fpxmDAOePQ) i remember thinking "Scott must do a lot more Jazz". Scott's not just STP, he's versatile too :)

What with that song and resturants?  Does it make people want to eat more?

Not just First Kiss, but other S/T tracks gets played in restaurants. I heard Cinnamon play while I was at TGIFridays a few months ago... And I was the ONLY person in the entire place that knew it was STP.

Hey, I heard "First Kiss On Mars" today @ Jack In The Box  8) :-*

Man, I wish they had Jack in the Box out by me. Everytime I'm out west, I make it a point to visit one EVERYWHERE I go. Been to a few in Arizona, one in Nevada, a few in Cali, and one in Hawaii.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..
