Dunno how many of u are into Seether but there is an influence-sy mention of STP on the first track of Seether's upcoming album 'Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray' as Shaun Morgan states in a round-up of all the songs offa dat album, might not sound anything like em, might sound in bits, but its too early to say anyway since the album's not out yet, but a mention nonetheless :P

Here is the song if you are interested.  I guess it does have a bit of STP to it.

That's a pretty cool tune...call me crazy but when I heard the guitar riff I got a little bit of an All in the Suit that you Wear vibe. Maybe it's the quality of the video but that's the first thing I noticed.

Nothing on the DirectTv guide mentioning it for VH1C

Just kidding, it's pretty funny. The Kobe Bryant and Michael Vick ones were pretty amusing as well.

Some dude reviewing speakers

"Familiar guitar riffs segued with the drum beats, soon after. Then the vocals.. uhm, ok. Hmm. At first I didn’t want to concede but the song Vasoline by the Stone Temple Pilots is actually coming out loud and clear from the x-mini capsule speaker"

On April 2, 2008, Velvet Revolver kicked Weiland out of the band.    Fortunately for him, the three leftover Stone Temple Pilots had just   formed the Facebook group “Masochistic Gluttons for Punishment Who Like   Nothing Better Than Constantly Worrying About Whether That Phone Is   Ringing Because Our Singer Is Dead,” which inspired the notion of   reuniting with Weiland.

Funny :)

From a reviews about a Gavin Degraw show

http://www.jsonline.com/entertainment/musicandnightlife/124520109.html

"Yet his biggest hit, "I Don't Want to Be," really crunched down on a guitar riff apparently cribbed from, of all things, Stone Temple Pilots, while the new single, "Not Over You," touched upon the simple buildup and melodic payoff of late-period Coldplay"

Very brief...  Apparantly No Doubt's drummer drummed for SWB.  So more of a Weiland mention.

Hardly worth of mentioning but I had to ;) . An interview with an author.

http://www.themillions.com/2011/07/the-millions-interview-eleanor-henderson.html

"...That’s a good question. I don’t know. I teach at Ithaca College and I see a fair amount of punk-minded students coming in with Misfits jackets, and they’re adorable and in a way maybe they’re more connected than we are, because we’re just a little bit removed from them. I don’t know if they’re buying their shirts at Hot Topic but what else is there? I don’t know if there are any alternatives. It’s hard for me to imagine a post-punk, authentic music movement. Maybe that’s just the grandmother in me talking about the good old days, but even when I came of age in the 90s, sitting in these enormous stadiums watching the Stone Temple Pilots, I felt an age had passed..."

Also from a minor league baseball teams webssite  displaying the upcoming games themes.

"Thursday Night — Along with fireworks, it is also time to bust out the parachute pants and the Stone Temple Pilots for 90’s night. "

STPs live show getting people together  8)

" If your son discovers a love of classic rock thanks to Guitar Hero, take him to a rock show.

That's exactly what East Orleans dad Jim Birchfield did with his son Jonathon last summer. They attended a Stone Temple Pilots concert and he says the experience was transforming. "Going to the concert together changed a lot about our relationship," he says. "It was a rite-of-passage sort of thing." "
