Great, great show last night. Set list was the same except for no Piece Of Pie. At one point the guys huddled up on stage and were probably talking about what song they would have to cut because of time. They went on at 9:25 and was done at exactly 11:00.

And by the way the guy who said that Rob had new music was not lying! He had it on his IPhone. It didn't have any vocals on it, just music. I only heard maybe 10 seconds of it but it rocked! Sounded from what I could hear like a faster version of Down. Rob said that they had some good music that they're working on and everything "Depends on Scott" as far as when we will hear new STP. Either way Rob and Dean are some of the coolest guys you'll ever meet. I'll put pics up later.

And Scott has said that he's got lyrics for about 10 songs, so that means holy crap new STP coming soon.

Scott said he had lyrics for 10 songs nearly a month ago, so he probably has them for a few more now.  We'll definitely have the album by Christmas, and best case scenario we'll have it by Thanksgiving.  I'm glad they've got some heavy stuff written, I love experimental stuff, but tbh they need some heavy singles and it's probably easier on Scott's voice to do heavy songs because he doesn't have to use his falsetto and he can use vocal effects.

Also did Dean or Rob say the November/December hopeful release date?

aH, Pete, and VC got to chat with the Bros for about 20-30 minutes!!!
Yes, STP is still shooting for a Nov/Dec release, "depending on Scott"
RD also spoke about another potential release...we'll just have to wait for more details to develop on that

7CT was SICK

All joking aside, it was a very good show - if it is within your means...I'd highly advise catching one or multiple gigs...

i may have to one-up you on that one VC...

FYI - if you look at the reflection in RD's left lens (your right)... you can see my reflection... white "Purple" t-shirt on... beaming smile from ear-to-ear.

LUCKY.  I'd love to meet the DeLeos, met Scott before so them and Kretzel are next on my hit list.  Any more specifics on the new album?  Did they talk about the sound of it and what not?  Did he mention anything about the possible 7th album?  Did he talk about Atlantic?  This is all so exciting!  ;D

Hey man - nothing "specific" on the new material...still pending SW's piece of the puzzle

The track he played for us was sounding pretty heavy...can't wait to hear the whole thing!

Don't even bother talking about #7 until Numero Sies is in the books.

Nothing on Atlantic.

VC & aH.
- the 2009 Cinci show: the beginning of a classic friendship!!!

ROBERT - aH. - DEAN
- this was one of the greatest moments of my life!!!

STP means the absolute world to me... I just cannot express how inspired I am after meeting 2 of my lifelong heroes after 17 years... Robert & Dean DeLeo were so humble & so appreciative... Taking the time to meet & greet ALL of the loyal STP fans who arrived early at the venue on Wednesday afternoon... signing autographs, taking pictures, and just simply enjoying the momentary company of the fans that have been there over the years...

although EK did not make a public appearance, I waved to him as he walked in between the buses and he smiled and waved back to me.

VC & I ended up talking with Dean & Robert for about 20 minutes each regarding some of our favorite STP moments over the years, recording the new album, the changes to the setlist... and of course my STP video collection, which served as a trip down memory lane for Robert... what a wonderful experience the 2009 Cincinnati, Ohio show was.

What a PERFECT day... and then after the meet & greet came the show itself...

******************************************

here's a few SCREENS from my view...

1. SW - Silvergun Superman

2. RD - Lounge Fly

3. SW - Creep

Killer photos guys! That's awesome you met the Deleos.

LOL Brett! When did you suddenly become an investigative reporter? Trying to get a scoop or something? Hehe.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..
