They need to play a ton more songs of SLDD. Hollywood Bitch would be another one that's awesome to see live. And the acoustic songs.

The version of Long Way Home from Rolling Rock is totally awesome though.

I think this is probably a very accurate review of the benefit show. I agree Weiland is not the showman scene-stealer he was in the 90s (as this article points out). He is oddly stiff now on stage when he used to absolutely torch the arena.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090704/en_ ... c_pilots_2

He's off coke now, so that explains a lot of it. That, and the anti-depressants.

Like I said in another thread, I'll take a less-hyper Weiland if it means he's clean.

I completely disagree. The No.4 era (199-2001) is when he was clean and sober (and ripped) and he was was the most aggressive he's ever been on stage during that time.
By his own admission, he was not clean at that time. I mean, he was for a bit right after leaving prison, but started using again very soon after.

Also, I always read a lot of love for his performance at Rolling Rock or Red Rock or whatever the hell it was, but...I personally feel he sounded awful then, esp. on Coma. At least now he's singing in tune.

Days of the Week (Electric, like the MuchMusic show)
Hollywood Bitch
Wonderful (Dean has an acoustic on tour with him, he should use it)
Black Again (Semi-Hollow PRS anyone?)
Hello It's Late (Scott played it solo, but it's time break it out for real)
Too Cool Queenie (I know they've already been playing it, but now they can do it with a tele)
Regeneration (sung better than last time, of course)
Long Way Home
And of course it wouldn't hurt to bring Coma back.
Grab the hate and drown it out...

I don't know if you meant EVER or on this tour specifically. I know the Rolling Rock show back around 2003 (or was it 2004) when Scott had the spiky bleach blond hair --- they played Long Way Home live. That show had a lot of good footage. Matter of fact I think you can find it on the Thank You DVD. You probably already knew this... so this is just in case.

You're both wrong. That show never happened. It was computer animated. Set in the year 1956.

I love the performance at Rolling Rock. I meant that I want them to play it now, on this tour.

They won't change the current set list for this tour.  The next tour will most likely have much more variety, maybe rotating set lists?  A boy can dream...
