a BIG hi to everyone on here from Scotland !!!

Hi all .

Just thought i would take the time to introduce myself . Im Marc , 21 years old and a MASSIVE STP fan .

I live in Edinburgh , Scotland , which unfortunately doesn't have a huge STP fan base , but i'm flying the flag pretty high !! I've introduced alot of my friends (the one's with taste !) to the band and everyone loves them , although mainly their older stuff .

I do have all the albums , the talk show album (which i really enjoy from time to time) and yeah i bought the Greatest Hits for the DVD ! Which was worth every penny ...    

This board has been a god send and only wish i had joined along time ago . It's really great to hear honest opinions , from REAL fans . I dont know if there are many people on here from Scotland (probably just me) or the UK , but it would be great to hear from you guys .

A massive STP fan, huh?  Well, you have just found your new home away from home, then!  We're all complete Weiland freaks - so you're in good company.  

I live in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, but have had the opportunity and pleasure of visiting Edinburgh and St. Andrews while I was an exchange student in the British Isles during the summer of 1996.

I fell in love with Edinburgh Castle, and we also went to see the Edinburgh Crystal Factory.  There, I bought several wine glasses to take home to my family.  Long story short, there was an incident at Heathrow Airport and the wine glasses were left behind, most likely sitting on the baggage belt.     I cried for days.

And even though it was 13 years ago (!!!!) - I still think of my time there often and fondly.  One day, I'd like more than anything to be able to visit both Scotland and Ireland again - they were two of the most beautiful places I've ever been fortunate enough to visit!

OK - sorry for the little rant.  I'm Jessie, by the way.

In reply to shambhala - I've never been personally , but i know of the castle . There is some beautiful places in the north west of Scotland .

STPGurl , i'm glad you enjoyed Scotland . I really hope to visit the US one day myself and experience the culture in your part of the world . My parents are going to New York and Las Vegas in August for their 25th Wedding Anniversary , but the one place i have always wanted to visit in the US is Maine . It has always struck me as a very picturesque place , and i want to visit the REAL US , not Disneyland !!!! (Which is the usual US holiday destination for the British people)
