Unreleased outtakes
« on: February 02, 2009, 07:24:30 PM »
Just wondering, is there any plan or rumored plan for Scott's unreleased outtakes to come out as b-sides or something? Despite releasing 21 songs for this double album, I thought I remember counting close to 30.

I haven't heard of any plans to do that, but I think it'd be awesome if happened. The song "I Know It's Too Late", which you can only get on itunes, would probably be on an album like that which would be GREAT...it's by far my favorite song out of anything on "Happy" and in my opinion already one of Scott's best songs, including STP and VR. That song deserves more exposure...it could be a classic.
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

Yeah, it would be amazing if some of em got leaked (especially 'Happy'!!!), or if he released a B-Sides album I'd be all over that just the same.  Even if he had to clean up a few songs, and released em for download through Softdrive or Itunes, I'd definitely pay for more songs!

More = better.

I just read something on blabbermouth.net about scott and this is like the fifth time i read about these songs that appear nowhere on his album or elsewhere..but why do they keep appearing on these write ups about scott and his new album??

"Happy In Galoshes was released on November 25 via Weiland's label Softdrive Records and distributed by New West Records/ RED/Sony. The CD, produced by Scott Weiland and Doug Grean (VELVET REVOLVER, SHERYL CROW, CRYSTAL METHOD), with select tracks recorded by Steve Albini, features a collection of songs that bring a revitalizing sound to Weiland's highly praised and unique musical style. The album also features several guest appearances including Adrian Young, Tony Kanal and Tom Dumont of NO DOUBT, who, along with Grean and Weiland, penned "Paralysis", which features Young on drums. "She's so Cold" was co-written by Gary Beers from INXS. The album also includes other standout tracks such as the dynamic "Missing Cleveland" and the catchy hooks of Talk About Love".

Where does "the album include" Talk About Love and She's So Cold??  What is it with all this recent half ass researched journalism? I mean I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but shouldn't write-ups be accurate? Just a LITTLE research into the tracklisting of the album would've done just that.

I assume that "She's So Cold" is "Tangle With Your Mind".

Ah, so likely we've heard these songs but know them by other names...
